The Old White Man, and the Younger Black Woman

My title is not a possible lead for a romantic comedy movie,
or a title for a sensual, provocative love story. This is about what is
happening today in the race for who will become our 47th president.
Kamala Harris has been the Democratic standard bearer for
only 38 days. President Biden officially ended his 2024 campaign on July 21st,
and by the end of July 22nd, she had secured enough votes to
guarantee her nomination at the Democratic Convention. There are emotions
surrounding Ms. Harris, which can never be associated with the old, orange
buffoon, including excitement, hope, and faith in our nation’s future.
More importantly, Trump cannot be trusted, he is a pathological
liar, a convicted felon, a confirmed sexual predator, and a traitor who
attempted to end democracy on January 6, 2021.
Kamala Harris is a former respected prosecutor, a former
Attorney General, a Vice-President, and now a candidate for our nation’s highest
office. She talks about our nation’s people, correcting problems ignored by
Trump and his party, moving our nation forward, and reuniting our nation’s
people who have been intentionally divided by Trump and his right-wing
extremist party for nine years.
WHERE WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE IN FOUR YEARS?
The November 5th election comes down to one
issue: where would you like to be in four years?
Between 2017 and 2021, Trump moved our nation backwards. He
attempted to undo all of the progress made by his predecessors over the last
60-70 years. Trump’s America is composed of anger, hatred, and a desire to
inflict violence on his enemies. He has no plans which would achieve his empty
promises, because he has no idea how to accomplish anything in his life.
Ms. Harris worked alongside President Biden to accomplish a
large number of succeses focused on improving the quality of life for all
Americans. She constantly tells us that in her administration the people will
be priority number one. The super-rich will not receive additional tax breaks,
most of those reductions will be given to the middle class. Women’s rights will
be protected. Diversity will be celebrated. All Americans will be guaranteed
basic human and American rights including equal treatment under the law, the
right to vote, and the right to exercise free thought and free speech. Kamala
Harris will be an American President.
THIS ELECTION IS NOT ABOUT “AGISM,” IT IS ABOUT FACTS
Presidents who spend their days working for the American
people will tell you that theirs is the most difficult job in the world. I have
followed the careers of 13 presidents. Each of these men aged dramatically
during their time in the Oval Office, with the exception of Donald John Trump. He
is four years older at 78, and his mental and physical abilities are in
decline. Doctors will tell you that the numbers do not matter. However, they
will also tell you that some humans age more quickly than others. Trump is
unfit to lead a nation of more than 330 million people.
Trump was not a working president. The great majority of his
time was spent golfing, spending time at his resorts, most significantly
Mar-a-Lago, holding hate rallies, and watching television. His posted schedule
when he was in Washington was about three hours each day.
We can do better.
Trump is a con man, but for some reason I fail to
understand, his supporters are unable to see the truth. Ignorance I understand,
but to choose ignorance over reality is unforgivable.
To support a man whose only ambition is to destroy the dream
of our Founding Fathers is despicable.
There is only one choice in November, and she will make
history. Our nation’s people will celebrate with her.
Please vote by mail, early, or at your polling place on November
5th.
The American people deserve an American president.
