It’s About Time: The Truth Exposing the Demise of the Fourth Estate is no Longer a Secret

The beginning of the end happened on October 7, 1996. This is the day “fake news” began. The creation of billionaire Rupert Murdoch and Roger Ailes began broadcasting on this sad day in American history.

They called it “FOX News,” although its real business was not informing the public about the facts. The events happening around the world were of no interest to these two con men. Their philosophy was based on money: “sensationalism increases viewership, and increasing the number of viewers increases advertising revenue.” The truth and facts were far down their list of priorities, or not at all.

FOX quickly morphed into the right-wing propaganda machine it is today. It continues to support white supremacy, and the division of 340 million American people.

In just months, FOX became the number one television “news” network. This translated into lower ratings for all legitimate news services: ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, and all the others.

Billionaires are involved in all television and print news today. Of course this means that their on-air personalities are paid in the millions of dollars to offer the American people half truths and personal opinions.

It happened quickly. Every “news” service in America today believes that profits are more important than the truth. Facts no longer take precedence. Therefore, the protections for a free press contained in the First Amendment are no longer valid.

Over the last few days the mainstream media has once again embarrassed themselves by supporting the fascist wing of American politics.

The uproar about President Biden’s pardon for his son Hunter, is way out of proportion to the pardons offered by Trump for some of our nation’s most egregious criminals, and his true reason for seeking election in 2024.

Hunter Biden’s crime was at the bottom of the list of crimes punishable by law. Just to mention a few, the crimes committed by Paul Manafort, Joe Arpaio, and Michael Flynn were serious. However, because they were loyal to the Fuhrer, Donald Trump, they were forgiven for the heinous crimes. He now claims that he will pardon the traitorous domestic terrorists who attacked our nation’s Capitol Building on January 6, 2021.

Once again, the mainstream media ignored its responsibility to the American people.

I am a longtime critic of the mainstream media. My concerns began in 2000 with the media’s refusal to expose the real George W. Bush, and the fact that the Supreme Court illegally interfered in the results of his first election.

I began writing for a Las Vegas based newspaper in 2012, and immediately exposed the failures of the mainstream media.

Print, television, and online media were part of the collusion which gave Trump a victory in the Electoral College in 2016. Once again, their failure to tell the truth about Trump was partly responsible for the worst man in the world winning an election on November 5th in which he should have been forbidden to be a candidate based on the 14th Amendment.

What does this mean for all 340 million Americans? First and foremost, we must boycott all news offered by FOX and the mainstream media. I have not watched a single television news broadcast since November 9, 2016. Unlike most Americans, my IQ has risen based on this fact.

I search for the truth every day. It requires a lot of work to find the reality behind the headlines, but it’s worth it.

I have been exposing the 78 years of Trump’s pitiful existence on this planet for a dozen years. If you haven’t read my rants, I doubt that you know the complete truth about your illegitimate 47th president. I will never refer to the orange buffoon and our nation’s most infamous traitor as “president.” He is not a patriotic American and cannot wear the label of President of the United States.

My blog’s title is “TheWiseOldFart,” which I believe fairly offers who I am today at the venerable age of 78. My promise is “What the Mainstream Media won’t Tell You, the Truth.” This is a promise I will never break, even if most Americans don’t care about the truth.
