You Just Don’t Get It: Trump Doesn’t Care About You or What You Think

Most voters are unhappy with Trump’s choices for his White
House Staff and his plan to pardon the traitors who attempted a violent
overthrow of our government on January 6, 2021. (I find it hilarious that so
many politicians opposed President Biden’s pardon of his son, Hunter).
The truth is, most Americans know nothing about Trump. He doesn’t
care about you, yours, or what you think. He cares about himself and no one
else.
[Opposition is strongest from Democrats (95%), Black voters
(84%), Hispanic voters (58%), urban voters (70%), white college-educated voters
(59%), and voters ages 18 to 34 (58%).]
Let’s be honest here. Only individuals who do not believe
that the laws should apply to everyone, equally, would support a pardon for
these criminals who hate their own country, and therefore support Trump.
The absolute truth is that our judicial system is not just
broken, it is shattered. [The United States houses around 20% of the world's
incarcerated people, even though the country only makes up about 5% of the
world's population. The US has the highest incarceration rate in the world,
with 716 people per 100,000 of the population.]
America’s prison system is designed to punish, not to
rehabilitate. This is why the recidivism rate is one of the highest in the
world.
The Department of Justice reports that 43% of people
released from state prisons were rearrested within one year, and 82% were
rearrested at least once within 10 years.
In a recent survey, a surprising 42 percent of all Americans
consider themselves as “people of color,” not Latino or white. A
disproportionate number of “people of color” populate our nation’s prisons, at 56
percent.
In comparison, not a single executive from Wall Street was
prosecuted for the fraud committed in 2007 when home foreclosures reached a
record high. Not a single Washington politician has ever been fairly punished
for their crimes against the American people. A corrupt Supreme Court recently
declared absolute immunity for the many egregious crimes Trump committed over
the last eight years.
America has become a nation without laws unless you are poor
and/or a citizen of any race other than pure white. The average income of all
men in our prisons prior to incarcerations was just $19,650: women $23,745. And
yet those who call themselves “Republicans” claim that “poverty does not cause
crime.”
In comparison, Trump’s Neo-Nazi rioters were mostly middle
to upper-middle income men and women. Of course Trump will pardon them: he is
their leader
It needs to be noted that those who are brainwashed by the
FOX right-wing propaganda machine overwhelmingly support the promised pardons.
I no longer trust or respect anyone who spends their days in
Washington. It makes me sad when I realize that our government has become the
most corrupt and incompetent in the world.
