This is not My Country, Apparently This is the One You Chose

If you’ve listened to one Trump speech, you’ve heard them all. Regardless of how they begin, they will always include fear, anger, hatred, and a suggestion of violence in his name. Unable to accept the slightest criticism, Trump is a vengeful man who is incapable of compassion for his fellow man. He has a mental defect known as “malignant narcissism,” and this prevents him from possessing normal human attributes.

After Trump was gifted the presidency by the Electoral College in 2016, with the assistance of Vladimir Putin, James Comey, and the mainstream media, the Southern Poverty Law Center reported an 800 percent increase in hate crime.

Between 2017 and 2021, every time Trump opened his pie hole, he offered his supporters the beliefs of men and women involved in the Neo-Nazi movement across America. Unless you were visiting another planet between 2015 and today, you are aware that his idols are Adolf Hitler and Vladimir Putin.

Read this definition, and tell me you can find one part of it which does not apply to Donald John Trump.

Malignant Narcissism: Malignant narcissism is a severe psychological disorder that involves a combination of narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) and antisocial personality disorder (APD). It's characterized by an inflated sense of self-worth, a need for admiration, and a disregard for others. People with malignant narcissism may also exhibit the following traits:

Manipulation: They may use manipulation, deceit, or violence to enhance their own sense of wellbeing

Lack of remorse: They may lack remorse for wrongdoing or the pain they cause others

Paranoia: They may feel threatened or persecuted without proof

Aggression: They may be aggressive or violent towards others

Exploitation: They may see others as disposable and a means to an end

 

Christmas Day is the one day each year when we focus our attention on those we love and share that love with all mankind. However, this is not what happens in Trump’s world.

There was an incident at the Phoenix, Sky Harbor Airport yesterday. If I am honest, it was not news. Unforgivable events similar to this happen daily in Trump’s America. Since 2017, there have been more mass shootings in our country than days on the calendar.

[Gunfire at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport on Christmas night left three people wounded, police say. Another person was stabbed. One was in critical condition.

[Then there was a second incident involving firearms, authorities said.

[According to police, officers responded to reports of gunfire at about 9:45 p.m. local time at a restaurant in Terminal 4 outside a security checkpoint and found a woman and two men suffering from gunshot wounds. All were hospitalized. The woman's condition was listed as life-threatening. The men were in stable condition.

[Officers then detained a man and juvenile female in a parking garage. He was taken to a hospital with at least one stab wound and was listed in stable condition. There was no initial indication that she was wounded.]

 

Between 2009 and 2017 our nation became a little kinder, and more accepting of our greatest treasure: its diversity. This is what I will remember most about the Obama administration.

However, between 2017 and 2021, Trump encouraged a 180 turn in our country’s path. He intentionally divided our nation between his fascist-leaning “basement dwellers,” (Trump’s words, not mine), and real Americans who love their country.

Verbal and physical attacks on all non-whites, all non-Christians, the LGBTQ community, and all womankind became the norm. The results of the 2024 election offer a picture of the new “America” which is Trump’s America, not mine. I was shocked to learn that there are far more fascists in America than I believed possible.

I am often speechless. It still seems impossible that the very old, obese, white racist who was declared the “worst president in history” by presidential historians, was allowed to have his name on the ballot in 2024. It is impossible to believe that he legitimately won the election. Trump is one of the most hated men in the world, and does not possess one qualification to be President of the United States. According to my definition, he is not an American. It is no secret that his loyalty is to Putin, not to the people of our country.

In four long years Trump changed our 248-year-old nation. Much of the damage is irreparable. To save America we needed Kamala Harris. Trump will cause even greater damage to our country over the next four years. I fear that the end of our Founding Father’s dream is inevitable. I have one more reason to celebrate the fact that I am a 78-year-old man.
