To Save America, Every Voter Must Reject All Political Parties
I must be totally honest with you: I did not read the
attached article. The title of the story made me think about what is really
wrong with America’s leadership, something ignored by the mainstream media,
which once again hides the truth from our nation’s people. It made me think
about why I am an Independent.
The government of the United States is not only
dysfunctional, it is the most incompetent and corrupt in the world. Every man and
woman who holds a political office, including the Supreme Court, has ignored
its primary purpose: to protect and expand the quality of life for all of
America’s people.
If you sit on the right side of the aisle, the profits of
the super-rich and major corporations are priority number one. For the men and
women who sit on both sides of the aisle, reelection is their primary goal.
Political parties are the problem.
There is no logical reason for belonging to a political
party. They do not deserve your loyalty or support. The only thing they share
is the promises they make without any intention to keep them.
The mistakes made by our Founding Fathers were made
honestly. They were extremely naïve, believing that future elected officials
would be as principled and moral as they were. They underestimated the weakness
of humanity. Greed and ambition produce evil and destructive actions as self-interests
replace duty and responsibility.
One thing has never changed in my life. When any professional
politician opens his or her mouth, what comes next is either a lie, or an
effort to redirect the question, allowing them to make a statement favorable to
their next campaign.
The key words here are “professional politicians.” One of
the biggest mistakes made by the good and great men who founded our nation was
not placing term limits on every branch of government. Longevity allows politicians
to amass power. Never forget an old adage which is entirely truthful and always
will be: “power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.”
Members of both political parties seek public office for
personal benefit. It is a fact that although the base salary for all members of
the legislative branch is $174,000 per year, after two terms in the Senate and
three or four in the House, they are living the lives of millionaires. How is
this possible? They maintain two residences, and have a large amount of travel
expenditures.
The existence of a group of men and women known as “lobbyists”
is unconstitutional. The working class does not have a lobby. Therefore lobbies
and lobbyists violate the 14th amendment, guaranteeing all Americans
equal protection under the law.
The super-rich, who create lobbies, literally buy votes.
Corrupt politicians eagerly hold out their hands when offered huge sums of
money, and all that is required is to surrender their integrity and vote as
instructed on specific issues.
Billionaires support one party over the other, depending on
each party’s position on the major issues. If you belong to a political party,
or simply vote for candidates based on whether they are Democrats or
Republicans, you are part of the problem. In most situations, your vote
enhances the lives of the politician who will do nothing to help you and those
you love.
Let me compare religion and politics for a moment. It is a
fact that the fastest growing “religion” in America is “none of the above.”
Over the last decade, the number of men and women who reject all organized
religions has grown to more than 100 million; nearly one-third of our nation’s
population. Why has this not happened in the dark world of politics? Why does
the voting public not realize the stupidity of supporting one political party
over another?
The answer may be found in something one of the most
ignorant and poorly educated men in the world said during the 2016 campaign: “I
learn everything I need to know from television.” Donald John Trump.
There is a reason they call it the “boob tube.”
