Joni Ernst: A Disgrace to Her Country, Her State, Her Military Service, and All Womankind
If the people of Iowa cared, I would feel sorry for them.
However, they continue to reelect two of the worst, self-serving Senators in
American history: Chuck Grassley and Joni Ernst.
Grassley is the senior Senator from Iowa. In his situation,
it is valid to use the word “senior” in more ways than one.
The press, mainstream media, late night comics, Trump, and
his failed party made age an issue in 2024. This was a smoke screen. He is 82
years of age, and I believe he is too old to be our president. Trump is 78 ½
years old, and mentally impaired. He is equally unqualified to lead our nation.
However, the “winner” in this discussion is Chuck Grassley.
“Grassley, who will turn 91 this fall, has spent seven terms
in the Senate championing ethanol and Iowa pig farmers and throwing sand in the
gears of the government whenever he gets the chance.” (This part of the article
comes from March, 2024. He was reelected at the age of 91).
This one story should be the most embarrassing thing about
Iowa, but it is clear that they don’t care if they are known as idiots.
However, the junior Senator from Iowa, Joni Ernst, age 54,
embarrassed herself, her state, her nation, the United States military, and
womankind on Wednesday.
After attending the confirmation hearings of Trump’s nominee
for Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, for a single day, she announced her
support for the woefully unqualified FOX News personality. This is nothing more
than a play for political power. Hegseth is a sexual predator, who embezzled
funds from two charities and committed multiple immoral and unprofessional
actions while in their employ. He is a common drunk who embarrassed everyone
who knew him.
America has an army five times larger than all other nations
in the world combined. Our government wastes more money on toys for the
Pentagon than it does caring for its people every year.
The man or woman who is responsible for leading the Pentagon
in concert with military leaders must have the highest moral standard imaginable,
and character beyond reproach.
Ernst is a member of the most disgusting and unprincipled profession
in America: professional politicians. These men and women become wealthy at the
expense of the people they were elected to serve. From insider trading to pure
graft, they always have their hands out, trading their votes for money.
If Hegseth is confirmed, this will be another dark day in
our nation’s history. I trust no one in Washington. I watched the 1991 hearings
for Clarence Thomas, and in 2018 Brett Kavanaugh. Justice was never considered
in the process of confirming two men who are unfit to occupy a seat on the
Supreme Court.
Your government is the enemy. You are choosing criminals to
make decisions about your future and the futures of those you love.
