Republicans Playing Politics Instead of Doing the Right Thing

 

 

Republicans don’t know or don’t care that the citizens of the richest and most populous state in the Union, California, are Americans. In fact they are true Americans while Republicans offer their fealty to Trump and his puppeteer, Vladimir Putin.

I grew up in Los Angeles. I will always be grateful to have lived in the greatest city, the greatest state, until I was in my early 40’s. No other state offers such a variety of lifestyles. No other state offers the opportunities available in California. I lived in Los Angeles when many terrible fires occurred in Malibu, Laurel Canyon, and other wooded areas when the Santa Ana winds blew in from the east. However, I could never imagine the tragedies which are devasting such beautiful areas of Southern California today.

As of today, Monday, January 13, 2025, more than 12,300 structures have burned and 24 lives have been lost. And the winds will be worse today according to Los Angeles weathermen.

However, Trump and his right-wing extremist party are not interested, In fact, they appear to be celebrating the disaster. Most significantly, it is Trump’s Freedom Caucus in the House which is the most cruel and inhuman.

Their latest proposal is to tie aid to California to the always problematic debt ceiling.

I must inform most of you right here. No other nation in the entire world has this problem. Once a budget is agreed to, it is complete and that is the end. The debt ceiling is not an issue about governing, it is purely political. Republicans and Democrats have different ideas about where the money should be spent. Democrats want funding for programs affecting the majority, and Republicans want to cut those programs and give additional tax cuts to the super-rich. This issue is one of many reasons why the government of the United States is the most corrupt and incompetent in the world.

Whatever the final decision might be, it will not be beneficial for the residents of Southern California. Trump admits that he has a low level of intelligence and intends to take vengeance upon his enemies. He considers the entire state of California his enemy.

I predict that a second Trump presidency will be more than ten-times worse than the first. Because of a corrupt Supreme Court and legislative branch, the orange buffoon is in complete control of all three branches of government.

It is no secret to anyone who knows the real Donald Trump that he cares only about himself. He is not concerned about the quality of life for 340 million people, and most definitely not the thousands of men, women, and children who lost everything they owned when their homes burned to the ground.

The real truth is, as it was with Covid-19, Trump wouldn’t have any idea of what to do, and neither would the men and women he nominated to serve in his already failed administration. Trump is the least-informed, most poorly educated man I have ever written about. I will never believe that he earned his degree from Wharton College of Business, and most likely failed most of his classes in military boarding school. He had his records sealed in 2017. It is an undeniable fact, thanks to his father, that Trump is a draft dodger.

No man or woman alive today or at anytime in our nation’s past, been less qualified to lead our nation.

Republicans have never done the right thing and never will. All of their actions are related to the ugliest profession in history: politics.
