Washington has Become a Really Bad Marx Brothers Movie
In the
1930’s some of the funniest movies ever made starred the Marx Brothers:
Groucho, Chico, Harpo, and Zeppo. In 1933, they made a movie/satire called
“Duck Soup.” The storyline was about a fictional country called “Freedonia,”
which was in desperate need of new leadership. Enter Groucho Marx.
What is
happening at this very moment in Washington reminded me of the hilarious farcical film, with one exception: Trump and his clowns are
not funny: not even a little bit.
The level
of incompetence within all three branches of government in 2025 is truly
unbelievable. It appears that the least qualified fake president in history
purposely chose the worst men and women possible to join his already failed
administration.
America
laughed about the nomination of Matt Gaetz as Attorney General until we
realized Trump was serious. Then we were forced to admit that Trump is a senile
and very old man whose dementia is increasing rapidly. He is too old and undeniably
unfit to lead all 340 million people.
Our
nation got over that hurdle, but we are still faced with an equally disgusting
nomination in the form of Pete Hegseth. The Fox News personality is Trump’s
choice for Secretary of Defense.
Stop
laughing: once again Trump is serious.
Hegseth
is a confirmed alcoholic and a sexual deviate who embezzled funds from two
charitable organizations and was fired for incompetence and unacceptable
conduct. Co-workers reported multiple occasions when he embarrassed himself and
everyone else in strip clubs, office parties, etc.
The
Republican morons on the right side of the aisle in the Senate are willing to
accept a man who is nearly as immoral and unprincipled as their leader to take
control of the world’s largest and most expensive military. However, to keep
their huge and wasteful annual budget, our leaders in the Pentagon will do
nothing. The men and women who are charged with caring for all Americans are
cowards who refuse to do the right thing.
There is
an old line from an old movie which applies here perfectly: “The inmates are
running the asylum.”
Trump is
woefully unqualified to be your Commander-in-Chief, and Hegseth is just as
useless and unfit for any office.
However,
Republicans don’t care about the damage he could do to our nation, they care
about pleasing their Fuhrer Donald Trump and his oligarchs. They piss on every
real American every time they open their mouths and lie about their love for
our country.
Okay, I
have become very crude in my description of our nation’s enemies. However, I am
not going to be a coward and act like Democratic politicians. It’s time to
declare war against every politician in Washington who supports Trump and his
fascist plans for our nation. That includes six members of the Supreme Court.
Trump
will have his way because every man and woman who calls his or herself a
Republican is a coward and a hypocrite. They serve him and have no interest in
the future of their country.
I have
witnessed the actions of 14 presidents. The majority were ineffective at best,
a few were acceptable, but only one could be considered great: John Fitzgerald
Kennedy. He was taken from us far too soon.
The worst
of 14 were George W. Bush, and forever known as the worst in history will be
Donald John Trump.
Overall,
American presidents have been great disappointments. For me, that includes a
few most of you might admire. I will keep their names to myself in this
article.
Whenever
Trump and his fascist party is involved in governing our country, the very
future of the United States of America is in jeopardy.
I have no
hope: all I have left are prayers and hope there is a God.
