An Apology to Everyone Who Voted for Trump in 2024?
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart
I apologize. It’s easy to understand why millions of
Americans chose Trump over Kamala Harris in the November 5, 2024 election.
Who wouldn’t vote for an old, obese man who is in the early
stages of dementia? His accomplishments are many. His father paid for deferments
from the Vietnam War, and paid for his diploma from Wharton. After Wharton, he
went to work for his fathers racist real estate business, refusing to rent
apartments to Black Americans. He declared bankruptcy at least four times in
the private sector, including an Atlantic City Casino. He continues his
attempts to sell cheap merchandise for outrageous prices while wearing the
title of President of the United States.
However, his greatest accomplishments involve his ability to
evade punishment for his many crimes.
He was convicted on 34 counts of felony fraud: no
punishment. He organized, planned, and exercised the failed overthrow of our government
on January 6. He was never charged with treason, although anyone who watched
all three hours of the darkest day in American history remains angry and in
shock. On the day he was evicted from the White House, Trump violated the
Espionage Act by stealing at least 14 boxes of national secrets. What a great,
patriotic leader?
Multiple tech companies and other groups are investigating
allegations of interference by hacking into the voting machines of all seven
swing states by Russian agents.
Every promise made during the 2024 campaign was a lie. In private,
he calls his supporters “basement dwellers.”
All this and a confirmation that he will never pay for any
of his many crimes. The most corrupt six justices in Supreme Court history
granted Trump absolute immunity placing him above the law, including his many
Constitutional violations.
All this makes him the most qualified candidate in history?
What the fuck is wrong with this country? The answer is
clear: uninformed and apathetic voters who learn everything they need to know
on television.
