In 1981, Ronald Reagan adopted a fiscal policy he called “supply side economics,” but is known as “trickle down economics” by most Americans. It was a major failure. The quality of life for working Americans stagnated or declined. Unemployment rose. The national debt rose to one-trillion dollars by the end of Reagan’s second term in 1989. His Republican successors, George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush, and Donald Trump used the same policies, the worst being Trump who added an estimated eight trillion dollars to the national debt in just four years. In each situation, our nation’s economy was saved by a Democrat: Bill Clinton in 1992, Barack Obama in 2008, and Joe Biden in 2000. This is reality, not a fallacious television ad. What happened on that day and what did not happen in the days following the failed coup offered irrefutable truth that our nation’s government is corrupt, irresponsible, and incompetent. Trump is America’s biggest traitor but remains a free man seeking the presidency. This one event and it’s affect on our nation and its future made it far worse than December7, 1941, or September 11, 2001. Tomorrow, November 5, 2024, will either be the new ‘darkest day in our nation’s history,’ or a new beginning with hope on the horizon. Trump is not a Democrat, a Republican, or an American. He is an opportunist whose loyalty is to Vladimir Putin, not the people of our nation. Don’t be fooled. Save democracy and prevent a fascist regime. Op-ed by James Turnage  

Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart The Truth Lives Here Trump claims his ear was “nicked by a bullet” after a sniper’s assassination attempt. I continue to have one question: “where is the high velocity bullet?” After it supposedly caused his ear to bleed, it had to have come to rest somewhere behind him. That area was filled with a wall of people. Where is the potentially lethal bullet? Could he have used an old professional stunt with a hidden razor blade? Op-ed by James Turnage

Since that day, 32 years ago, no Republican has won the popular vote with the exception of George W. Bush after his reelection bid in 2004. If the Electoral College did not exist, no Republican would have resided in the White House since January 20, 1993. Kamala Harris will undoubtedly win the popular vote on Tuesday, so the question becomes, “will the states void the will of the people again?” The bottom line is that Republicans cannot win if the Electoral College did not exist Every vote should count. Old ones include the “orange buffoon.” “Trumpenstein,” and “Putin’s Puppet.” However, he has earned more over the last four years, including “world’s biggest whiner,” the “Coronavirus Killer,” “world’s biggest liar,” “leader of America’s white supremacist movement,” “traitor,” “fascist,” “convicted criminal,” and “sexual predator.” Guess what, and you won’t believe it: this obese old man is running for president on Tuesday. The Truth Lives Here They obviously thought it would be funny, but it became another embarrassing moment for Trump’s “people.” After President Biden called a wannabe comedian, performing for Trump at Madison Square Garden on Sunday night, “garbage,” some of his supporters began wearing black garbage bags. Once again, these ignorant yahoos got it wrong. If they wanted to show support for the worst candidate in history, they should have worn something related to the term he uses for his “people” in private: Basement Dwellers. Maybe cement shoes would have been more appropriate.
