What’s Next? The Dog Ate My Homework?

What we don’t know about Trump’s war on Iran.

It’s a war. No, it’s not a war. We won, and the war is over. The war will be over soon. The Strait of Hormuz is fully open. The Strait of Hormuz is closed again. I will not extend the ceasefire. The ceasefire has been extended by 10 days. The TACO man is at it again. He has no idea what he is doing.

WE, THE PEOPLE, DESERVE BETTER

I have lived through 14 presidents and watched their actions with feelings of hope and trust. I don’t remember Truman; I was born in 1946. However, I watched some of Dwight Eisenhower’s second nomination at the Republican National Convention in 1956, and my interest in politics began.

My opinion about most of our presidents can be summed up with one word: adequate. Only one of them can be called “great.” Sadly, I consider three of them to be the worst in American history, and Nixon is not one of them. I rate presidents solely on their accomplishments for all Americans and their successes or failures to perform the job for which they were elected.

In past articles, I previously listed the qualities and failures of all 14. I’m sure you know that the very worst of all time is Donald John Trump.

HE TRIES HARDER TO BE THE MOST HATED MAN IN THE WORLD

To sum up my evaluation of Trump is easy. He has failed to accomplish a single positive action for all 340 million people. Meanwhile he continues to make the world a more dangerous place for all the world’s population, while he destroys everything good about America, intentionally harming anyone who is not pure white and wealthy.

I will not attempt to gaslight you. I will leave that to Trump and the mainstream media. Trump’s only reason for waging a personal war against Iran is to redirect the public’s attention from his close relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.

He and our incompetent military leaders continue to murder thousands of innocent men, women, and children for no other reason than "they can." These traitors to my country are spending more than one billion dollars each day since February 28, money which should have been used to improve the lives of all Americans.

The truth is that there was no plan for waging another war in the Middle East. Trump apparently woke up one morning and decided to place our nation in another unwinnable war. Washington insiders claim that after our military leaders met with Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, they agreed to join him in his war against Iran. When they asked Trump, who was not present, he said, “sounds good to me.”

I cannot ignore the fact that our military’s actions in Iran are on a path to become another failure. The old men and a few women who control our armed forces from the comfort of their huge offices inside the Pentagon have lost every war in which they participated since WWII. Their only purpose is to fight wars.

MOST OF YOU KNOW THAT I AM PROUD TO BE A PACIFIST. WHY AREN’T YOU?

It is an undeniable fact that no one wins a war. The results are always the same. Tens of thousands of innocent people die or are severely wounded for life. Only the super-rich and politicians benefit from their investments in the military industrial complex. Sadly, our nation’s leaders failed to listen to President Eisenhower’s farewell address.

On January 17, 1961, President Eisenhower made his final speech as our nation’s 34th President. It lasted just 10 minutes, (he was no Donald Trump), but continues to have great implications in 2026.

The most critical section of his speech involves the growth of the military industrial complex and its danger to future generations. The prime architect of “D-Day” voiced his concerns about the path our nation appeared to be choosing in the mid-twentieth century.

“America's leadership and prestige depend, not merely upon our unmatched material progress, riches, and military strength, but on how we use our power in the interests of world peace and human betterment.”

He went on to express his concern for the opposition of democratic values and principles, focusing on the e “military-industrial complex,” a name he uses for “the conjunction of an immense military establishment and a large arms industry,” something new “in the American experience.”

Acknowledging the need for a strong military, he spoke of the need to be aware of the desire for greater power and influence over the governance of America.  It is in spite of its sheer necessity, he admonishes us, that “we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex.”

Mr. Eisenhower appears to have been America’s Nostradamus.

WAR MUST BE THE VERY LAST AND WORST CHOICE FOR THE LEADERS OF ALL NATIONS

Only when all other avenues and efforts have been exhausted to maintain the peace should the thought of entering into a war become part of the conversation. Only if our nation is attacked or in danger of an imminent act of war like Pearl Harbor or 9/11 should our leaders consider military conflict as the last resort.

The problem lies is a quote which is all too true: “War is good business.”

Trump’s war is unnecessary and an affront to peace-loving people around the world. It is an abomination, adding to the long list of why he should never have been allowed to wear the title of President of the United States of America.
