“It’s the Economy, Stupid”
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart If you ask any working-class person in any democratic nation, “what is the most important issue in any election,” the answer will always be “the economy.” Uninformed voters believed Trump’s baseless braggadocio between 2017 and 2021. He claimed that America’s recovering economy was his accomplishment, although facts prove that every positive action began during President Obama’s administration and was responsible for the growth of America’s economy. The choice to choose ignorance over fact was a critical fact in Trump’s illegitimate victory in 2024. A little history ignored by voters who, like Trump, “learn everything they need to know from television.” In 1992 Bill Clinton was elected. The primary reason for his victory was the fact that the fiscal policies of Ronald Reagan and George H.W.
