However, over the last couple of weeks, I am not only shocked, I have lost all respect, what little was left, for any and all members of the mainstream media. Trump is literally getting away with murder. First came the firing of Stephen Colbert. There was no cause, it was simply a group of billionaires who own Paramount, the parent company of CBS, obeying their Fuhrer’s demands. Trump is too immature, and mentally deficient, to accept criticism, regardless of how major or minor that might be. Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart Okay, we get it. A Trump supporter was murdered. Yes, it’s wrong, and like Republican politicians after a mass shooting, ‘I offer my thoughts and prayers,’ but nothing more. Charlie Kirk preached anger, hatred, and violence to his supporters. His hate speech was unusual in the fact that he hated everyone who was not pure white, poor, and practiced any faith other than Christianity, or none at all. He was not focused one issue, race, or color, he hated everyone equally. He literally lived by hate and was killed by a ‘hater.’ What he was not is a hero or a martyr. Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart Okay, one more time. I condemn the murder of Charlie Kirk. However, he was a fascist, and I despise his politics, his hatred for everyone who is not pure white and wealthy, and most of all his desire to overturn our government and in its place install a fascist regime with Trump as his Fuhrer, was unacceptable and was, in fact, the actions of Neo-Nazi. In 1963, I began reading newspapers, not because I wanted to, because it was an assignment to read the Los Angeles Times every day, and not just the sports section or the comics. After the first week, I began to enjoy reading the stories, informing me about what was happening in my city, my state, my country, and around the world. I trusted the writers. I assumed they were telling the truth. For the most part, they were. My teacher told us that if we read the Los Angeles Examiner, the content might be less truthful. Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart The murder of Charlie Kirk was very wrong. Violence accomplishes nothing other than the procreation of more violence. Sadly, mankind lacks sufficient intelligence to learn this over thousands of years watching innocent people die for nothing. However, I will tell you the truth about the underlying causes for this tragedy, something no one in the mainstream media has the courage to stand up in front of the television cameras and 'tell it like it is.' Here it is: Charlie Kirk was not a good man.
