A Note to Donny Boy: You Can Fool Some of the People, but You Can’t Fool Me
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart I have an excellent memory. I have not forgotten that one of Trump’s many unkept promises was to reduce the national debt, much of which he created. He claimed that Elon Musk and his “made-up” Department of Government Efficiency would immediately reduce the deficit by more than two-billion dollars. After the bromance between Trump and Musk ended on bad terms, and although they had fired hundreds of federal employees who actually worked in Washington, the national debt was decreased by less than 100 million dollars. Musk and his “team of young boys” were paid more money than they saved. Over the last eight months, Trump has added to the deficit. Although the national debt is nearly 37.5 trillion dollars, instead of addressing a single problem facing our nation, many of which he created, he is spending taxpayer dollars like a drunken sailor on shore leave.
