However, in the summer of 2024, his crowds were smaller than usual. He desperately needed something, anything to recreate the energy he experienced eight years ago. Trump had begun a relationship with Vince McMahon, the leader of the WWE. Vince’s wife, Linda, would become Trump’s Secretary of Education in 2025. I believe it was McMahon who had the idea to fake an assassination attempt.
