The Mainstream Media no Longer Deserves First Amendment Protection: It has Abandoned its Responsibility
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart When our Founding Fathers confirmed the First Amendment in the Bill of Rights, they approved protections for the fourth estate. They were given the responsibility for exposing corruption and criminal activity within our federal government. I have the very sad duty to report an irrefutable fact that the fourth estate no longer exists in the 21 st century. Every major news organization in America is owned by a billionaire/oligarch, and supports Donald Trump and his Nazi political party. Not a single broadcast news network, ABC, CBS, or NBC is independent and has the courage to offer the American people the absolute truth about the “real Donald Trump.” Since 2015, the mainstream media willfully surrendered five times more coverage for Trump than all other politicians combined.
