Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart, I cancelled my Paramount subscription, and refused to watch “60 Minutes” and any other news broadcast on CBS, the minute I learned that Stephen Colbert had been fired. I enjoyed his nightly show, but more importantly, I hated Paramount for violating the First Amendment rights of Mr. Colbert. His humor, focused primarily on the worst president in history, was fair and balanced, unlike this other network calling itself Fox News. He used Trump’s own words and actions to expose America’s Fuhrer. THE MOST TRUSTED NEWS NETWORK IN AMERICA HAS BECOME THE LEAST RESPECTED IN THE INDUSTRY Every news broadcast on CBS is losing ratings, and with it, advertising revenue. The station which was privileged to have Walther Cronkite as its primary journalist has become the joke of the industry. This is what happens when billionaires attempt to control a country, or when a Trump sycophant is in control of any aspect of governance. TWO BROADCASTS I NEVER MISSED ...
