Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart Later today, October 18, 2025, millions of true Americans will be performing the most patriotic act possible in a free country. They will be marching in the streets across America, peacefully protesting against the worst, illegitimate president in history and his many violations of the Constitution of the United States of America. If I were not physically disabled, I would be proud to join them here in Reno. Countries are people, and leaders of all countries have a single purpose: to protect and serve those people. In this country, when they fail to perform the jobs for which they were elected, it is the duty of every American citizen to exercise their First Amendment right and demand change by removing a tyrant from his or her position of power. Trump has proven beyond any doubt that his plan, Project 2025, is to end democracy in our nation and establish a permanent plutocracy/oligarchy in its place, supported by a fascist regime with himself as its Fuhrer.
