Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart As the Antichrist, Trump hates Christmas, almost as much as he hates all non-white people. Today is Christmas Eve, and I think it’s time to review the many “gifts” the majority of Americans received from your illegitimate president in 2025. While running for office in 2024, Trump made promises he never intended to keep, and he kept his “word.” Greedflation is growing and prices on all commodities, including toys for Christmas are far more expensive this year, and the culprit is clearly Trump’s ill-advised tariffs. Tariffs always fail, with a couple of minor exceptions. Doubt my allegation. Look at 1930 and what happened when tariffs added additional grief to the Great Depression. To understand why a second, illegitimate Trump presidency is 100 times more destructive than his first, we must return to 2016 and the truth about his rigged victory and his many failures over the next four years. Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart If this were a movie, it would never be released in the theaters, or on any streaming network. What George W. Bush and Trump have done to the United States of America is truly unbelievable. A successful movie must include a great script, adapted from a book or from an original screenplay. The topic must be believable and well-written. The characters and their development must appear realistic, and plausible. If the storyline unravels, or becomes totally unrealistic, it is doomed to fail. If the characters have no value, no substance, and appear contrived, it will fail. This is what happened to America in the 21 st century. Yes, America as I knew it is in decline. All true Americans are living in a very, very bad movie. As a novelist, I could never write this story, primarily because there are no characters who are interesting.
