Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart I used to be a big fan of ESPN. It was original, and some of its commentators were well-informed and entertaining. However, as professional sports have become more of a huge business than a form of entertainment, the quality of ESPN’s television personalities has greatly declined. As I was channel surfing one day, I stopped while a man by the name of Stephen A. Miller was ranting. And that’s all it was. I don’t remember what or who he was verbally assaulting, but he never stopped talking. I thought he would have made a big success as a Fox News personality. None of them know what they are talking about. Miller graduated from Duke University, with a degree in philosophy. This explains why he is always yapping, seldom listens, and obviously fails to research his material before he offers an opinion. Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart It’s a sad fact that I was not surprised that Trump chose Pete Hegseth to be Secretary of Defense. They are very similar. Both are white supremacists, sexual predators, and confirmed criminals. Hegseth is also a well-known alcoholic whose antics embarrassed everyone he knew. It was also important for Trump that Hegseth was a part-time personality on his personal propaganda machine, Fox News. Trump and Hegseth made a decision to attack a group of Democrats who offered advice to our military who are being forced to act like a Gestapo in our nation’s “blue” states. They made a public service announcement informing our men and women in uniform that if what they are ordered to do is a violation of federal law or the Constitution, they are not required to carry out those orders. Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart By law, the military forces of the United States are forbidden to take action in any situation involving democracy in America. This law is under attack by your illegitimate president. When a small group of Democratic legislators made a public service announcement intended to inform our military that they are lawfully obligated to ignore commands by the Commander-in-Chief which violate the law, Trump suggested that punishment by death should be considered for their Constitutional obligation to obey the Law of the Land. He mislabeled the event as an act of “sedition.” Trump knows nothing about the law, he never met one he didn’t break. Now that six corrupt members of the SCOTUS  granted him absolute immunity, our nation’s greatest criminal will do anything he desires without fear of punishment.
