Why Does Trump Hate the Homeless?
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart
I’m pretty sure that Trump hates everyone, including a
number of his oligarchs. The old man in the White House confirms this
assumption through his own words and actions. Trump is a ‘humanoid,’ there is
no joy when he’s around. However, he gets his enjoyment in life by ensuring
those he hates are punished and experience pain and anguish.
It is no secret that Trump is a racist, a bigot, and a
misogynist, but why does he hate homeless people? A considerable number of
America’s homeless population are veterans. The fastest growing number of Americans
without a permanent home are children.
Today, August 12, 2025, Trump is imposing a form of martial
law on the people of Washington D.C. There is no legitimate reason for this
illegal and immoral action with the exception of Trump’s personal vendetta
against anyone he despises.
President Donald Trump vowed this week to rid Washington,
D.C., of homeless encampments, issuing a warning that the "homeless have
to move out, IMMEDIATELY." Though what those plans will look like,
including where people will go, is unclear, sparking concerns among advocacy
groups.
The following day he reiterated his opinion of our nation’s
homeless population as well as his abject ignorance about the problem.
[Trump said that the federal government will be
"removing homeless encampments from all over our parks" in D.C. as
part of an effort to "rescue our nation's capital from crime, bloodshed,
bedlam and squalor and worse."
["There are many places that they can go, and we're
going to help them as much as you can help. But they'll not be allowed to turn
our capital into a wasteland for the world to see," Trump said during a
press briefing on Monday while announcing plans for the federal government to
take over the D.C. police department and deploy National Guard troops in D.C.]
With every passing day I have more reasons to believe that
Trump is far from human. He lacks compassion and concern for anyone other than
himself. This single, irrefutable fact prevents him from holding any office in
our nation’s government. The only “job” of our elected officials is to serve,
protect, and care for the needs and wishes of all 340 million Americans.
Fact: the primary reasons for homelessness are a lack of
affordable housing. This is a problem no one in Washington is addressing. It is
the primary reason why the number of homeless children is escalating.
The second reason is poverty. Many men, women, and children
who lack a sufficient income to maintain a permanent residence are the result
of a medical emergency, a crisis. The cost of medical care in America continues
to rise, and the inability to pay those outrageous bills forces thousands of
Americans to fall below the poverty line.
The third most common problem is mental illness. Mental
health is rarely considered an urgent problem in America. It is unusual for any
insurance company to offer necessary funding for what is frequently a lengthy
form of treatment.
Veterans suffering from PTSD and other battlefield
conditions are the most numerous in this category. However, stress among all
walks of life has been the focus of mental health professionals for decades.
One of the many reasons Trump will forever be known as the
worst illegitimate president in history is the fact that his 79 years existed
in a different America than most. He has always enjoyed an atmosphere of white
privilege and its accompanying wealth. He has never worked for a living or been
forced to struggle for survival in a nation which considers the wealthy in a
class above the rest.
As he grows nearer to becoming an octogenarian, he becomes
more childish and completely out of touch with a nation whose average age is
38.5 years. He complains constantly, and brags about non-existent accomplishments
incessantly.
Trump is woefully unqualified to be our nation’s president.
