Money is Without a Doubt the Root of All Evil, but Where is the Source of Good and Kindness?
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart
The proof is before us every minute of every day, on the
boob tube and on the internet. The worst man in the world is following the path
of his idol and causing enormous harm to billions of people to satisfy his own
ungodly needs. Trump is proof that “money is the root of all evil.” Nothing
else, not sexual desire, or a desire to have all the latest “toys” comes close
to the need to accumulate outrageous wealth.
That was the easy part of this story. The mainstream media
has enjoyed increased profits over the last 10 years as they focused their
cameras on Trump incessantly. Sensationalism increases viewership, and
therefore advertising revenue. They have no interest in the truth, only how
much money they receive. Every major news network is owned by one of Trump’s
oligarchs. The Fourth Estate began its rapid demise in June of 2015 when Trump
rode down the escalators and declared his plan to destroy America from the inside
out.
Thanks to a cowardly and hypocritical government, the Supreme
Court, and the old, useless men in the Pentagon, Trump’s crimes against
humanity will not cease until he is cremated and his ashes scattered over a cesspool.
What appears to be difficult is establishing the source of
good and kindness. The reason is simple and obvious, but most people ignore the
truth. From the moment of our birth, every human being is endowed with a
genetic pattern leading him or her in a direction which will lead them to a
life composed of compassion, understanding, and acceptance. So, what force
redirects a man or woman to follow a path which leads to aspirations which
include avarice, power over others, and sexual deviance? That is also easily
explained and inside every human being: free thought and free will.
Who and what we become is the result of choices we make and they
begin in our youth. Experience tells me that those of us who struggled, we who
were not born into a life of luxury and privilege, are more likely to empathize
with others.
The truth is that great wealth is attainable to every man
and woman on earth. The key is undoubtedly found inside each of us and what we choose
to be most valuable. What are we willing to sacrifice to obtain material
wealth? How much of ourselves, our integrity, self-worth, and morality, are we
willing to cast aside to achieve a single, unholy desire?
What I can tell you without reservation is that it’s the
little choices me make between birth and death which produce the big things,
the important and life-changing situations which compose the person we become.
These ‘little things,’ include the friends we choose, what we study in school,
and the good and bad habits we develop for ourselves or from the influence of
others. As we age, education becomes of greater importance, but our choice of
careers and where we live result in even greater changes.
I leave you with two examples: you choose which is good and
which is bad.
Trump was born into an atmosphere of extreme white privilege
and great wealth. History tells us that much of what he became were the result
of instructions from his father.
Fred Trump was a devout racist. Money was his “god” and he
was willing to do anything to achieve his goals. He was known to have expressed
his belief ‘that there are only two kinds of people in the world: winners and
losers.’
After military boarding school, Donnie Boy was given an
opportunity to attend some of the finest institutions of higher learning in our
country. After Fred Trump purchased deferments for his son, preventing him from
being drafted into the illegal war in South Vietnam, he attended Fordham
University, and later transferred to the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton
Business College.
We now know that he rarely attended his classes, and his
diploma was clearly purchased by his father. He failed constantly in his real
estate endeavors, proving that he has no understanding, no knowledge related to
his time at Wharton. He was forced to file for at least six bankruptcies,
including the impossible: an Atlantic City Casino. This is why one of his first
actions in 2017 was to seal all of his academic records.
Trump is an opportunist. When Vladimir Putin invited him and
first wife, Ivana, to Moscow in 1987, he eagerly accepted the invitation. The
two fascist men began a relationship which has lasted for 39 years. In 2013,
using the Miss Universe Pageant to cover-up his true reason for another visit
to Moscow, former MI-6 agent Christopher Steele revealed meetings between the
two men to confirm their plans to win the 2016 presidential election.
Their plan to end the United States of America and achieve
world domination is moving forward as quickly as Hitler’s “blitzkrieg” in the
1930’s.
Trump chose his path, it was not forced upon him. His base
desires led to a lifelong mental illness known as malignant narcissism, which
led him to even bigger crimes and removed every morsal of integrity,
compassion, and morality from his being, forever.
I am the same age as Trump, but the exact opposite of the
man, himself.
I was born into poverty, but I never knew it until many
years later. What I did have was a mother, brother, grandparents, and aunts and
uncles who loved me. From my grandfather I learned what it meant to be a “man.”
He taught me to respect others and learn from them, while accepting them for
their own beliefs, customs, and traditions.
From him I learned that trust and respect are earned. It was
up to me to learn that doing the right thing would make me the person I am
today.
I’m still poor, but I am satisfied at the age of 79 that I
always tried to do the right thing and become a more spiritual person every
day.
I cannot deny that some of the difficulties I faced along
the way would have been easier if I had chosen a career which offered a larger
income, but I have no deep regrets. I continue to learn from my own experiences
and those of others I have known along the way. I am and never will be perfect,
that’s impossible. But I’m still trying.
I am not a religious man. However, I know that when I take
my last breath, I will know that I did my best, and learned from my failures. I
have experienced true love and an appreciation for every day I lived.
Trump will die a man hated by millions of people around the
world. After his demise, history will describe him as the worst president in
American history, and one of the most evil men to have ever existed. There will
be no positive or redeeming remarks.
