Complete Lack of Character and a “My Way or the Highway” Attitude: Say Hello to the Real Donald Trump

Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart

Trump has used the same, old, tired tactic for nearly 80 years. When he is asked a question he does not want to answer, or when a reporter demands an explanation for his remarks or actions, he attacks the person asking the question. The truth is his greatest enemy.

When a situation requires deliberation and compromise, he lacks the ability to discuss the issue intelligently, and reverts to his only choice, “my way or the highway.”

No one could be less presidential than Donald John Trump.

SOME GOOD, SOME BAD, ONLY ONE WAS VERY GOOD, AND A FEW WERE VERY BAD

Over my nearly 80 years, presidents have come and gone. Of the 14 I experienced, the best way to describe most of them is “good riddance.”

Only one of our nation’s leaders was so impressive when performing his presidential duties that he can be referred to as “great.” That man was John Fitzgerald Kennedy.

On the reverse side, I have had the misfortune to suffer through the three worst presidents of all time. In order, they are Ronald Reagan, George W. Bush, and the man never to be replaced with the title of “worst in history,” Donald J. Trump.

In just 15 months, Trump has violated the Constitution numerous times, destroyed an entire wing of the White House, increased the cost of necessary commodities, including gasoline, illegally declared war on the sovereign nation of Iran, murdered thousands of innocent men, women, and children, increased the national debt by about $4,000,000,000,000, wasted tens of millions of dollars of taxpayer money for his personal pleasure, traveling to and from the Lago and his many golf excursions. These are just a few of his many crimes against the American people.

ANOTHER FAKED ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT?

It was reported on Saturday evening that there was another attempt on Trump’s life at the beginning of the Correspondents' Dinner.

True or not, it was also reported that the gunman had sent his “manifesto” to his family. We will never know its entire contents, it was immediately confiscated by the FBI.

On Sunday evening, Trump appeared on “60 Minutes,” a CBS fake news show I refuse to watch, as long as Bari Weiss, a Trump sycophant, controls the news department. He was interviewed by Nora O’Donnell. When she began to ask him about the contents of the document, he became angry and verbally assaulted Ms. O’Donnell.

From his own outrage, it is apparent that the manifesto contained attacks against Trump including rape and pedophilia. You read the article and form your own opinion.

This was the “real Donald Trump” on national television for all to see.

A CLASSIC EXAMPLE OF TRUMP’S INCOMPETENCE

Trump never plans ahead. His actions, including his war against Iran, appears to be almost spontaneous.

It’s clear that he is desperate to end the illegal and immoral war, but he doesn’t know how. He told reporters that if his demands are not met, it will continue.

Representatives for Iran’s government stated that if he will end both the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, and the war, they will open up the all-important waterway. I do not believe that he will agree. His enormous ego will not accept what he perceives as a defeat. The spoiled schoolyard bully will have his way and nothing else is acceptable.

Some of you might remember a book someone wrote and put his name on it titled, “The Art the Deal.” It is hilarious. Trump is unwilling and incapable of seriously and honestly engaging in negotiations, and will never agree to any form of compromise.
