“The Party of Family Values?” Excuse Me!

Why do “Republicans” hate the American people? They once called themselves “the party of family values.” However, unless you are wealthy and pure white in the 21^st century, they do nothing but flip their middle fingers at you.

All Republicans support tax cuts for the wealthy, and none of them support “entitlement” programs. Entitlements are a form of socialism not to be confused with Social Security and Medicare which are completely funded by working men and women and their employers. The reason Social Security is going broke is because corrupt politicians have been stealing money from the self-funding program for decades. They are using your money to fund programs which will secure votes in their next election.

Tax cuts for the wealthy are fascist programs which are responsible for the current plutocracy in America today, as well as the serious problem of growing income inequality. It is not unfair to say that Democrats in general are socialists, and Republicans are fascists.

WHAT FASCISTS ARE FOR AND AGAINST IN THE 21^ST CENTURY

It is no secret that when fascist politicians are elected, they ignore voters who elected them and offer their allegiance to special interests: large corporations and the super-rich. Their lobbies spend millions of dollars each year sending lobbyists into the Capitol Building with instructions about which bills they will vote for or against.

What they are against are social programs including Medicaid, and food programs which ensure less fortunate children will have enough healthy food to sustain their very existence. Recently, this right-wing “family values” party suggested eliminating food stamps for millions of low-income and impoverished Americans.

DON’T FEED THE CHILDREN

Congress passed a 2.5 billion-dollar bill which would feed poor and qualifying low-income children over their three month summer vacation. This will ensure that programs supplied by the school will continue during summer vacation. Families will receive $120 per child over the three-month period.

13 states with Republican governors oppose the program, calling it “welfare.” I call their opposition inhuman and anti-American. Why should all the money in our nation be in the control of 5.5 million millionaires and 813 billionaires? Our country is called the United States of America, which is composed of more than 330 million men, women, and children. However, Republicans don’t care about 325 million Americans, their only concern is the profits of a small percentage of our nation’s people.

However, because many of these children are minorities, not pure white, they do not recognize them as Americans.

I WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND WHY ANY WORKING MAN OR WOMAN WOULD VOTE FOR A RIGHT-WING POLITICIAN

The men and women who call themselves “Republicans” in 2024 are not. They have moved so far to the right they are now the “American Fascist Party.”

As a lifelong Independent, I honestly miss the Party of Lincoln. My choices when I vote have become limited. Nearly one-half of the candidates have been eliminated. If a man or woman has an “R” next to their name, they will not receive my vote. True Republicans are nothing more than a memory.

Bernie Sanders has the right idea. What America should be is a country which supports a form of “Democratic Socialism.” People should come first, not be an afterthought.

Nothing would change with the exception of our nation’s motto, “Profit before People” would be replaced with “the People First .” America would proudly join the rest of developed nations by adopting programs which will positively affect the majority of our nation’s people.
