Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart On January 20, 2017, every man and woman calling themselves a “Republican” surrendered their integrity, morals, their very souls, to Donald John Trump. They showered him with effusive, undeserved praise while defending his thousands of lies and his many violations of the Constitution. They reneged on their campaign promises to serve the needs and wishes of their constituents. Fascism had come to America, and its leader is wearing a cheap “rug,” has orange skin, and is an obese 80-year-old spoiled child/schoolyard bully. Trump 2.0 is 100 times worst than the first. Because of his failure to keep his three primary campaign promises, combined with reckless spending, his approval ratings are now the lowest in history, at 29 percent. A BLUE WAVE?
