A True or False Checklist For Donald John Trump
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart
After four years and six months of Trump as your
illegitimate president, I thought it was time to evaluate Trump’s performance.
I will list some of the duties, responsibilities, accomplishments, and failures
between 2017 and 2021, and his first six months of 2025, and honestly and
accurately rate them as “true,” or “false.”
Trump kept his campaign promises.
False. His most important promises were to end “Greedflation,”
and negotiate peace between Putin and Ukraine. The price of necessities
continues to grow, and Trump’s ill-advised tariffs will soon force them to rise
even higher. The invasion of Ukraine continues. There is no reasonable end expected
in the near future.
Trump claimed that the Biden economy was a failure, and he
would ‘turn it around’ immediately.
False. His failed fiscal policy of trickle-down economics
has already increased unemployment, and his “big, beautiful bill,” will remove
healthcare from millions or our nation’s most vulnerable citizens, resulting in
great financial strain for millions of our nation’s people..
Trump claims that he “only chooses the best people.”
False: Not a single member of Trump’s cabinet or his closest
advisers is qualified for the department he or she leads. The only
qualification Trump demanded was absolute loyalty without dissention. Trump
created the ‘Department of Government Efficiency, and selected the world’s
richest man to lead DOGE. The purpose of DOGE was to reduce the national debt
by at least two trillion dollars. It failed, and Elon Musk nearly lost Tesla
and SpaceX. Trump and Musk are now enemies. Trump failed again.
Trump promised to solve our continuing problem with Immigration
and is deporting only the worst: criminals, drug dealers, and rapists.
False. His personal gestapo, ICE, is detaining anyone who is
not pure white, including American citizens and men, women, and children who
are legally residing in the United States. ICE is eagerly involved in actions
which can only be described as “ethnic cleansing.”
Trump told his supporters that he would make our allies
respect America again.
False. Trump declared war on our closest allies with
outrageous tariffs. For years our leaders established a system of ‘free trade’
which improved the economy of all nations. Trump has begun a trade war, and the
American people will pay for it.
Trump repeatedly claimed that he would be a ‘president for
all Americans.’
False. His policies have harmed 99 percent of our nation’s
people, while increasing the profits of America’s 813 billionaires/oligarchs.
In just six months our capitalistic society has become an oligarchy, a
plutocracy. Your future is being decided by the super-rich who own the former “Republican
Party.”
Trump claimed that our military had become ‘weak’ under
President Biden, and he would strengthen and make it ‘great again.’
False. (This one may take a while). Our military is weak.
That’s because we have incompetent leadership in the Pentagon. The truth is,
America has lost every war in which it was involved since WWII. Trump’s
selection of a part-time Fox personality as his Secretary of Defense, who
embezzled funds from a military charity, is an alcoholic, and a sexual
predator, Pete Hegseth, will only make the situation worse. Trump ordered a
massive attack on Iran’s nuclear proliferation facilities. Although 14 B-2
bombers, and a submarine armed with Tomahawk missiles bombarded the targeted
areas, military intelligence now claims that only one facility was damaged, and
it could be operational in a few months. This show of “force” cost about one-billion
dollars. Trump’s history of failure continues.
I ask a question, “does Trump display the character,
principles, and morals of an American President? Does he represent America to
the rest of the world?”
Trump failed.
His illegitimate presidency has been occupied with the
destruction of greatly needed government agencies, ethnic cleansing, disguised
as “immigration reform,” seeking revenge on anyone remotely involved in investigations
into his past and present crimes, and ending social programs for the sole
purpose of giving even greater tax breaks to his oligarchs, while adding
trillions of dollars to the nation debt.
Trump took the oath of office on January 20, 2025. Has he
kept that oath? Was he honest? Is he an “American President?”
The answers are “no,” “no,” and “no.”
Every president is required to take an oath as he or she is
sworn into office. The most important promises are to “preserve, protect, and
defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and
domestic.” Not only is our nation less safe, it is under attack by our own
government. Trump sent military forces to Los Angeles to halt protests against
his unlawful ethnic cleansing, violating the First Amendment rights of hundreds
of American citizens. His fiscal policy will increase the number of Americans
who live in the low-income and poverty brackets. Facts prove that financial
fears are the greatest factor in the increase of violent crime in America. Trump
continues to prove that he is not “an American President.” He is a Nazi and
continues to violate the Constitution every day with policies founded in
fascism; contained in the speeches of Adolf Hitler in 1930’s Germany.
I leave you with one undeniable fact. In four years and six
months Trump has failed to accomplish a single positive action for all
Americans. He is the worst president in history, and is mentally and physically
unfit to hold any public office. He is the greatest mistake in American
history, and the greatest danger to America’s future in its 249 years.
