On This Mother’s Day, a Clear Message to Trump and His Misogynist Party: “Let Women Make Their Own Decisions About Their Personal Mental and Physical Health”

I have had a very strong opinion about abortion long before I could vote. Decisions to terminate a pregnancy belong to women alone, with the advice of their doctors. Old, white men have no right to make that decision for them, including priests, ministers, pastors, Rabbis, Imams, and especially not ambitious and corrupt politicians.

When Trump’s corrupt Supreme Court repealed Roe v Wade, they made a decision which was nothing less than pandering to Christians, primarily Evangelical leaders. It had nothing to do with undeveloped fetus’, it was purely political and another attack on women’s rights. All humans must own the right to make decisions about their own mental and physical health.

On April 28, 2026, Jessica Waters testified before the House Judiciary Committee. For two hours, Ms. Waters was questioned about the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act, a federal law which Republicans want to repeal. This law “prohibits violence and harassment against reproductive healthcare providers or patients seeking that care.”

Almost immediately after her testimony, she began receiving angry and hate-filled threats.

“Less than an hour from when I walked out of Congress, my phone began lighting up with emails and social media alerts (and urgent messages from security teams tracking them). Scores of the messages and posts said: You are a bitch. A whore. Slurs that can’t be published. Some questioned whether I can still be “aborted” and then answered, “I think she can.” They said things like, “this is why firing squads are back.” They asked one another where I work. They hypothesized that I am infertile and that I hate children. They said they should “exact vengeance,” that I will burn in hell, and I am evil.”

She later learned that a member of the subcommittee, Texas Representative, Brandon Gill, a Republican, posted clips from the hearing on social media before it ended.

Have you ever noticed that the “right to life” group will do anything to protect the “rights” of an undeveloped fetus, but find it perfectly acceptable to physically harm and even murder doctors, nurses, and women who perform and receive a legal abortion?

ONCE AGAIN, ALL REPUBLICANS ARE HYPOCRITES AND SUPPORT THEIR FUHRER’S SUPPORT FOR ANGER, HATRED, AND VIOLENCE

Every time a member of Trump’s Nazi Party speaks in front of the television cameras he, or she, repeats Trump’s lies, and attempts to hide the fact that their party is the party of white supremacy, and supports Trump’s fascist manifesto, Project 2025.

Women’s rights are just one of their targets. Every “red state” is focused on voter suppression. Knowing that most minorities vote for Democrats, they have spent hundreds of hours and millions of dollars on attempts to nullify the votes of men and women who believe in the dreams of our Founding Fathers.

This almost 80-year-old man no longer trusts anyone in power, or the super-rich. They are the enemies of the working class, the majority of our nation’s 340 million people. They support the end of democracy and support a fascist regime led by the worst, old man in the world.

Change is not enough: America needs a “do-over.”
