Memo 618 and the Truth Behind Government Secrets and National Security

The word is “corruption.” If you enjoyed the CBS television series, “The Good Fight,” you might remember stories about “Memo 618.” In the show it was intended to reveal government corruption related to our federal court system. It was a metaphor.

MEMO 618 BASED ON REALITY

On February 19, 1942, FDR signed executive order 9066. It established Japanese interment camps within the United States.

In 2002 George W. Bush created an internment camp for “suspected terrorists” in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. It remains open today.

Thousands of American citizens, with Japanese heritage, were placed in internment camps without legal process. Sites included Tule Lake, California; Minidoka, Idaho; Manzanar, California; Topaz, Utah; Jerome, Arkansas; Heart Mountain, Wyoming; Poston, Arizona; Granada, Colorado; and Rohwer, Arkansas.

Young, male family members were frequently removed from the camps to work in other parts of our country. This remains one of our nation’s greatest travesties, a violation of the first and fifth amendments, and an attack on basic human rights.

THE SECOND WORST PRESIDENT IN HISTORY

Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld have never been tried for their war crimes, or for lying to Congress and the American people. One of their most egregious actions involved the capture and incarceration of suspected terrorists. These men never received due process, and were never charged for their alleged crimes. Instead they were tortured mentally and physically, a direct violation of the rules established by the Geneva Convention. The crimes committed by the Bush “43” administration are as unforgivable as those designed to destroy our nation by Trump’s goons and paid liars.

PERMISSION TO HIDE POLITICAL CORRUPTION

Every time you hear a politician, a judge, or a spokesman for the Pentagon claim that certain documents cannot be released for “reasons of national security,” call bullshit. We, the people, are the United States of America. Everyone working in Washington works for us, or they should.

In the majority of situations, this is a lie. This is nothing less than a cover up of corruption. The vast majority of our elected officials hide their crimes. There is an unwritten agreement in Washington between all members of the three branches of government: they will protect their own, hiding the truth from the voting public.

I am not assuming these facts. I have experienced corruption taking place around me throughout my life. The last nine years have revealed many crimes and thousands of lies emanating from the worst illegitimate president in history, dozens of members of Congress, and several justices residing on the Supreme Court.

TERM LIMITS WOULD END MOST OT THE CORRUPTION IN WASHINGTON

Professional politicians are seldom honest. Our Founding Fathers never intended service to our country becoming a profession. This is likely why they made a huge mistake when they refused to establish term limits for all three branches of government.

Another old saying which is founded in fact: “Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.”
