An Arrogant Donald Trump Tells German Chancellor Friedrich Merz to “Fix His Broken Country”

The United States of America is more divided than it was before the first Civil War. The economy is in shambles. Most Americans are struggling with escalating inflation. America’s healthcare is the least effective and most expensive in the world. The federal government is corrupt and totally incompetent. Women’s rights have been moved backwards to the mid-twentieth century. The Supreme Court is complicit with right-wing extremists in their attempts at voter suppression. With the leader of white supremacy occasionally residing in the White House, racism and bigotry have reached levels not seen since the 1920’s and 1930’s.

All of this is directly attributable to one man, Donald John Trump, and yet, Trump is telling the Chancellor of Germany to “fix his broken country.” I couldn’t make this shit up if I tried.

ATTEMPTING TO DEFEND THE INDEFENSIBLE: HIS WAR ON IRAN

“The Chancellor of Germany should spend more time on ending the war with Russia/Ukraine (Where he has been totally ineffective!), and fixing his broken Country, especially Immigration and Energy, and less time on interfering with those that are getting rid of the Iran Nuclear threat, thereby making the World, including Germany, a safer place!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Trump clearly violated the Constitution on February 28, 2026 when he unilaterally decided to begin a war with the sovereign nation of Iran. As were the wars in Vietnam, Korea, Afghanistan, and Iraq, there is no justification for his attacks on the people of Iran.

Approximately 60 percent of all Americans are opposed to any war. About 70 percent reject another unwinnable war in the Middle East.

NO PLAN, NO EXIT PLAN, NO END TO ANOTHER INVASION OF A MUSLIM NATION

There is no denying that among those Trump hates are all members of the Religion of Islam. They have become members of his “list to obliterate,” along with Black Americans, Hispanic Americans, and virtually anyone who is not pure white and wealthy, like his close ally, Elon Musk. Musk was well-known as a Nazi sympathizer when he lived in South Africa.

If it appears to you that I am making this story about racism, bigotry, misogyny, Islamophobia, and homophobia, the focus of this story, you are very perceptive.

Once known as “The Grand Old Party,” The Trump Party has morphed into “The American Nazi Party.”

If you don’t believe me, look at the actions and policies initiated by Trump since January 20, 2025. The facts are there, and if you can read, you can learn the truth with a minimum of effort.

WHY AMERICA HAS NEVER BEEN A GREAT COUNTRY

America is a nation composed of diversity. This is a fact, and our greatest strength. However, it is also a weakness.

Pure whites from Western Europe have a long history of racism and  bigotry. Our Founding Fathers, most expatriates from England, owned slaves.

America is a very young nation. Unfortunately, great change is all too frequently the result of time: time to learn from past mistakes. Our country is not perfect, and our Founding Fathers were aware of that fact. However, their naivete discounted the evil inside all too many humans. Instead of improving on what they had begun, professional politicians ignored principles and morals and began rebuilding America for their own advantage and personal beliefs.

CHANGES, GROWTH, AND EDUCATION THROUGH EXPERIENCE

Personally, I consider myself a very fortunate man. My growth began in 1962 when I left parochial school and attended a public high school. I was able to open my mind and see the real America, or, more accurately, the existence of “two Americas.”

I was very fortunate to grow up in Los Angeles during the 1950’s and 1960’s. Free thought was encouraged, and there were often open and honest discussions about every subject under the sun.

For me, it all begin in my U.S. History Class during my Junior year at Venice High School.

My teacher was a young man, Mr. Simon. On day one, he explained the facts. We had to learn what was required by the school board: dates times and places. Our homework required the reading of chapters in our history books. The next day, there would be a quiz. After this was completed, the remainder of our time in class would be an open discussion.

A subject was on the blackboard every day, and each of us was expected to participate. A major percentage of our grades would rely on our willingness to express opinions and ask questions. I was very shy, but learned to enjoy the process.

As I think back on that experience, I believe this is how all of America should be today.

However, since 1981, leaders of the once G.O.P. have discouraged deliberation and compromise.

NO MORE DENYING THE FACTS

Trump is a fascist. He is following his fascist manifesto, Project 2025 exactly as written. The document is 922 pages of ways to destroy democracy and subvert the Constitution. Joining him are all members of one political party, including six corrupt justices on the Supreme Court.

Our country is engaged in a second Civil War. So far, it’s not bloody, but this could change in an instant.
