As Long as there are Red and Blue States, America Will Never be the “United States”
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart Our 16 th President, Abraham Lincoln, was a wise man. In one of his speeches, he offered the following irrefutable fact: "A house divided against itself cannot stand." Historical fact proves that the only time America has been united is during wartime or when our country has been attacked by another nation or organization attempting to destroy the United States of America. During times of peace, politicians intentionally divide our nation with a combination of idealistic differences, lies, conspiracy theories, and false promises. This is a direct result of the unintended creation of “red” and “blue” states. Our Founding Fathers were imperfect men with perfect ideals and a misguided belief in the integrity and principles of mankind.
