Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart Trump is not handsome, charismatic, a gifted orator, or a man in possession of superior intelligence. Why would any American support a man who has failed to accomplish anything of value in his 80 years? The answer is extremely disturbing. I HAVE BEEN WRONG ABOUT AMERICA FOR FAR TOO LONG I was born in 1946. As an original baby boomer, I can’t remember when I was not a true patriot. I believed what I heard: “America is the greatest country in the world,” and everyone wants to live in the United States. 80 years later, I know that it was all bullshit. First, America has never been a “great nation.” Issues which existed before the Constitution was signed in 1789 continue to exist today. America is a racist and bigoted nation and little has changed over the 250 years of its existence.
