If Today’s Elections Don’t Interest You, Remove Your Claim to be an American Citizen
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart
The midterm elections will not take place until November of
2026. However, if you care about your country, and your family, today’s
elections should be of great interest to you. They have far greater
implications about how voters are thinking in New York City, and the states of
Virginia and New Jersey. All working-class Americans share the same concerns.
The future of two states and the financial capital of
America will be greatly affected the outcome of these elections. However, it
will be an indicator of what might happen across the nation in just one year.
Remember, the midterms will involve reelection efforts by
all 435 members of the House, and one third of the Senate. In today’s America,
state elections carry equal weight with federal.
In 2025, America has become divided between two groups:
those who support Donny Dictator’s lust for power and regime change, and real
Americans who favor the changes made over the last 70 years by leaders who
loved their country.
Over the last 45 years, all Republicans survived reelection
efforts based on lies, conspiracy theories, and misdirection. Their loyalties
are to party leaders, not to the American people. Not a single accomplishment
intended to improve the lives of the average American has been accomplished by the
last four “Republican” presidents: Reagan, George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush,
and Trump.
These four men served our nation’s billionaires and
millionaires, forcing the working class to find ways to exist without
government support and aid when needed.
Fact: American voters are, in general, the least informed in
the world. Studies prove that most Americans cast their ballots based on what
the see and hear on television. Too few make the effort to learn about the candidates.
Only Independent voters make their choices based on issues most important to
themselves and the men and women who seek their votes.
Voting for any candidate based on the “R,” or “D,” or even “I”
next to their names is moronic and extremely dangerous. Men and women who have
caused the most harm to our nation were victorious based on political party
affiliation and nothing else. Consider the harm caused not only by Trump, but also Ted Cruz, Moscow
Mitch McConnell, Ron Johnson, Jim Jordan, Mike Johnson, Lauren Boebert,
Marjorie Taylor Greene, Pam Bondi, Kristi Noem, Robert Kennedy Jr., and every
other man and woman who belongs to the former Grand Old Party.
Every American should vote in every election. The focus is
primarily on efforts to win presidential elections every four years. The
importance of other elections all too often mask the importance of elections
which decide who controls the House and Senate. Who becomes the governor of our
50 states is of equal importance.
I beg of you: when you vote, vote for the future of your
families and friends, not for a political party. They don’t care about you:
they care about power and wealth.
