Worst Houseguest Ever

This is a “what if” story which has become an actual
travesty and tragedy.
What if you learned about an historical home which was
burned to the ground on August 24, 1814 during the War of 1812, and there was
hope that someone would rebuild it?
What if you were very rich, and rebuilt one of the most important
and cherished homes in the world as close to the original blueprints as
possible. Then you decorated and furnished it with items which had been removed
and spared before the fire was set, and spent many hours and large amounts of
money to return the building to its former glory.
Although you did not live in this huge and impressive
mansion, you occasionally allowed others to reside in what had become an
historical structure cherished by every person in your country. Most of the
time it was open for people to tour the home and enjoy its historical
importance.
Then, what if one man was allowed an extended stay, and
decided he wanted to make some changes? He considered antiques unpleasant and
removed some of the furniture. Pictures on the walls depicting historical
events were removed and replaced with tasteless and gawdy decorations and
family photos. He completely remodeled one of the bathrooms in the most famous
bedroom of all into a modeern monstrosity.
But he didn’t stop there. He decided to demolish an entire
wing of the house and in its place construct a modern ballroom where he could
entertain and impress his wealthy friends.
And, what if all this happened to our nation’s most
cherished residence without the approval of its real owners, you, me, and every
other American citizen?
THE PEOPLE’S HOME
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue is the address of the White House.
Every four years, a new family is chosen to reside in the people’s home. It is
a great privilege and has never been disrespected or defiled until our 47th
and second illegitimate president became its part-time tenant.
If I appear to be angry, I am, and I have reason to be.
Trump likes to put his name on everything and make it his
own. This old, obese man is a squatter who should never have been allowed to
move into our White House in the first place. In 2017, Trump referred to this edifice
to public housing as “a real dump.”
OUR GOVERNMENT AND ALL OF ITS AGENCIES CONTINUE TO ALLOW
TRUMP TO DESTROY AMERICA
Because the White House belongs to the people, destroying
the East Wing is a crime. He failed to receive permission for his actions.
Some judges saw his crime for what it was, and halted the
construction of his ballroom. Others, favorable to right-wing extremism would
allow the building of this monstrosity to continue.
WHAT I BELIEVE
If our government was not the most corrupt in the world,
Trump would be forced to rebuild the East Wing to its original condition using
his own money. This would be the right thing to do, but it will never happen.
Very few men and women in Washington will ever choose to do the right thing,
placing politics ahead of the American people.
Not a single man or woman loyal to Trump and his fascist
plans for our nation has a spine nor the willingness to care for the needs and
wishes of the American people.
I don’t hate, but in 2026, I have made an exception.
