Alaska Was a Farce: Putin Will Get Everything he Wants

Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart

What happened in Alaska was a farce and an embarrassment for all loyal Americans. It began with the military of the United States rolling out a red carpet for our country’s greatest enemy. Next came the illegitimate president/dictator of America displaying his fealty and devotion to the only man in the world who is worse than himself.

The event was labeled as an effort to end the invasion of Ukraine. This in itself was another lie: a diversion.

After three and one-half hours, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump stood before the television cameras and told the world that they accomplished nothing.

However, that was not the truth. Putin told Trump what he wanted, no, demanded, and the rest of their private meeting was focused on completing their plans for the destruction of the American way of life.

On Monday, Trump will meet with Ukraine President Zelenskyy in the White House. This meeting is also mislabeled. It will not be a meeting to discuss a negotiation between Putin and Zelenskyy, it will be a meeting to relay Putin’s demands. Peace will only come after Zelenskyy concedes parts of Ukraine to Russia. The illegitimate Russian President will have accomplished his goals when he first invaded Ukraine 3 ½ years ago.

"You can't have a peace agreement unless both sides give and get. You can't have a peace agreement unless both sides make concessions," Rubio told ABC News' "This Week" co-anchor Martha Raddatz. "If not, it's just called surrender, and neither side is going to surrender, so both sides are going to have to make concessions."

If this sounds like the Trump administration is ignoring Putin’s war crimes, and how his invasion of a sovereign, democratic nation was illegal and immoral, and claim that Ukraine must capitulate to a brutal and evil dictator, you are most definitely correct.

I have two standards for engaging in any relationship: I must have great respect for another person, and trust that person or persons without doubt or even the slightest deviation.

Not once in my life have I found a reason to respect Putin or Trump. Trusting them is equally impossible. They are old, white dictators who, by their own words and actions, will do as they please and ignore the needs and wishes of the people they are required to serve and lead, focused on improving their quality of life.

Evil surrounds them as they embrace anger, hatred, and violence; negative qualities abhorred and rejected by good people everywhere.

Trump is Putin’s puppet, and this is a fact which is undeniable, However, Trump’s “boy toy,” Marco Rubio attempted to create an image for Trump which is totally laughable.

"Of course, concessions were asked, but what utility would there be of me going on a program and tell you, 'We've wagged our finger at Putin and told him, "You must do this," and "you must do that."' It's going to make -- it's only going to make it harder."

Does this court jester believe that anyone takes him seriously?
