I Think it’s Time for More Hegseth and Pentagon Bashing: They Deserve It

It’s a sad fact that I was not surprised that Trump chose Pete Hegseth to be Secretary of Defense. They are very similar. Both are white supremacists, sexual predators, and confirmed criminals. Hegseth is also a well-known alcoholic whose antics embarrassed everyone he knew. It was also important for Trump that Hegseth was a part-time personality on his personal propaganda machine, Fox News.

Trump and Hegseth made a decision to attack a group of Democrats who offered advice to our military who are being forced to act like a Gestapo in our nation’s “blue” states. They made a public service announcement informing our men and women in uniform that if what they are ordered to do is a violation of federal law or the Constitution, they are not required to carry out those orders. Trump is not a confirmed fascist dictator. At least not yet.

Nothing upsets Trump more than the truth. He is known to fly into rage at any moment when one of his illegal actions is exposed.

Nearly everything I read, every day, causes me to become angry. Recently, the Pentagon’s fealty to your fascist, illegitimate president, is making me furious.

If I have learned one thing in 79 years and four months, I know that anyone in power who possesses outrageous wealth cannot be trusted. No one on Capitol Hill deserves your respect and most definitely not your precious vote. The "golden rule," "always do the right thing," no longer exists in America’s federal government, or inside the Pentagon.

America needs change, but not the type politicians tell us. Our government needs a complete overhaul. We must begin with term limits for all three branches. The people must be given control over their wages and expense accounts. Full transparency must be available to the public. No more “for reasons of national security.”

I have other suggestions which will eliminate some of our federal government waste. First, they must be in Washington at least 250 days each year, performing the jobs for which they were elected. They must read proposed legislation themselves, not receive second hand information from an aide. Their benefits cannot be greater than those available to all 340 million people. Finally, reduce the number of congressional districts in each state. We do not need 435 members of the House. A smaller number would eliminate some of the current extremism which exists today.

The SCOTUS is completely out of hand. They are abusing their powers and failing to perform their only reason for existing. The rules must be changed. Not only must lifetime appointments become a thing of the past. Rules must be changed which would allow the people to remove a Justice who is misusing his or her powers for personal gain with ease.

What worked in the early 1800’s does not work today. America must cease moving backwards and proudly move forward and join the rest of the world’s developed nations.
