War Crimes can be added to Trump’s dark and dismal resume.
He is not alone. Our military brass, those who hide in the Pentagon, are
complicit with the worst man in the world.
Beginning in his early days, Trump revealed his worship of
Adolf Hitler. Several friends of his first wife, Ivana, were told that he read
Hitler’s speeches every evening before going to sleep.
Today, the fifth day of a new, and possibly last year of
life on planet earth, Trump has begun his own fascist plan for world
domination. His efforts have been sanctioned by his own party, the Supreme
Court, and the Pentagon. He also has a partner in his vile plans, his mentor, Vladimir
Putin.
The United Nations Security Council is currently in session
to discuss Trump’s latest crimes against humanity, and international law.
The UN chief António Guterres told ambassadors there must be
respect for national sovereignty, “political independence and territorial
integrity,” after warning on Saturday that the US had set a “dangerous
precedent” for the world order.
Nearly 500,000 Americans lost their lives in WWII in an
effort to end the advance of fascism throughout the world. Was it all for
nothing? How can the leaders of our nation’s military hide behind the walls of
the Pentagon and allow a self-admitted fascist to repeat the crimes committed
by one deranged man in 1930’s Germany?
Trump’s woefully unqualified Secretary of State, Pete
Hegseth is responsible for carrying out Trump’s plans. When Arizona Senator
Mark Kelly and others offered a fact based on the Constitution, and concerning
the right and the duty of every member of the military to refuse any order
which violates the law, Trump and Hegseth exploded. In homage to Trump, the
Pentagon is supporting this immoral and illegal action. Senator Kelly’s
retirement pay for past military service has been reduced by half.
I served in the USAF for a short time. I learned a great
deal over a period of just six months. First, all military organizations are
fascist by design and necessity. Second, as they rise in rank, all military
officers become political and cannot be trusted.
The saddest truth of all has come over the last 79 years. I
no longer trust anyone with power and/or great wealth. They have no interest in
the welfare of the common man. These groups include our federal government, the
Pentagon, all law enforcement agencies, all professional politicians, and most
of the fake-Christian leaders who stand behind the pulpit on Sunday mornings.
They are members of America’s rich and powerful and will do anything to retain
their lives of privilege, power over others, and opulence.
I have learned to trust only myself, my wife, and a few
close friends and family members who have earned my respect.
As an original baby boomer, I lost my hope for America’s
ability to be a great country gradually. The more I read about our nation’s
past and present, the more frightened I became. Money and power eventually
destroy even the best of men.
