Are Floridians Waking Up to the Real Ron DeSantis?

Following his Fuhrer’s example, Florida Governor, Ron DeSantis, began molding his state into a refuge for fascism. He gained notoriety when executives for the Disney corporation announced their support for transgender employees. Disney is Florida’s largest employer. He attempted to discount Disney and create financial ruin for the entertainment giant, but failed miserably.

He escalated his hateful racism by placing strict restrictions on care and funding for all members of the LGBTQ community.

Then, for his coup de gras, he began banning all books in the state’s schools and libraries with even a slight reference to slavery, homosexuality, and any other mention of sexual relations. Good morning Adolf!

More important than the hateful actions of DeSantis is the fact that nearly every other red state’s governors are taking similar actions as well as passing laws forbidding women from making their own decisions about their physical and mental health, and voter suppression.

REPUBLICANS ONCE PROTECTED INDIVIDUAL FREEDOMS, NOW THEY BELIEVE IN THE OPPOSITE

Those who call themselves “Republicans” are desperately attempting to take control of the personal lives of millions of Americans. Like their fascist Russia-serving master, Donald Trump, they are power mad and a danger to our nation’s future. They do not serve the electorate, they serve the billionaires and Russian oligarchs who fund their campaigns: I refer to Moscow Mitch McConnell.

The good news is that a recent poll reveals hope. Most Floridians are tiring of DeSantis and his constant, baseless attacks on “woke Americans.” Republicans in the state legislature feel less pressure to support the worst governor in our nation. They no longer feel obligated to support his evil agenda now that he no longer seeks the presidency.

“Everything was just crazy [last year],” said Republican Rep. Paula Stark, who was a freshman in 2022. “You had all these things that everybody wanted you to stand up and support because it was a governor’s initiative … Now this session has been calmer.”

WHY LIVE IN A RED STATE?

For me, all “red states” are unlivable. I refuse to live anywhere where fascism is acceptable. I pride myself on free thought and my right to exercise free speech.

I despise anyone who supports Trump. No one who is an agent of Vladimir Putin’s can be called “President.” He is also a self-admitted sexual predator, the leader of the white supremacy movement, a homophobe, an Islamophobe, and the world’s biggest prevaricator. Anyone who lies constantly not only cannot be trusted, they must be shunned by society.

DeSantis, Greg Abbott and other “Republican” governors are nothing more than Trump wannabes.
