End Genocide Everywhere Without Exception

Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart

Hatred is the darkest emotion and the greatest danger to mankind. When such a severe emotion controls a person or group, what follows is inevitable: violence and death. Hatred is sometimes personal, but frequently includes an entire race, other demographics, or religious sect. This is an act of pure ignorance and a low level of basic intelligence.

AMERICA HAS A 405 YEAR HISTORY OF RACISM AND BIGOTY

Although it is true that our nation has a more than 400-year history of extreme racism and bigotry, which continues today, the United States is not alone in its crimes against humanity. Greed, jealousy, and envy pare segments of the ultimate and most despicable emotion owned by human beigns: hate.

RELIGIONS WERE ALL FOUNDED ON PEACE AND LOVE IN THEIR ORIGIN

Much of the world’s history involves violence between religions. Battles between Pagans and Christians led to the Crusades and war between Christians and Muslims. These bloody and senseless battles began in 1095 and lasted until 1291: Nearly 200 years. There have been wars between Catholics and Christians.

Over the last quarter of a century, there have been bloody conflicts between opposing sects of the Religion of Islam.

All of these destructive and tragic religion-based atrocities can be called “genocide.”

MIDDLE EAST AND GENOCIDE

There is no doubt that the endless violence in the Middle East is the result of endless conflicts without resolution between Jews and Muslims for centuries. History proves that with the exception of their religious beliefs, they are more alike than different.

THE LATEST CONFLICT IS NOT BETWEEN ALL ISRAELIS AND PALESTINIANS, IT IS BETWEEN NETANYAHU AND THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE

The latest conflict between Israel and the Palestinian people is the bloodiest since the mid 20TH  Century. It began with a terrorist group known as “Hamas.” Hamast kidnapped dozens of Israeli citizens. A counterattack by Israel has spread into Gaza and beyond. Thousands of innocent Palestinians have been killed. However, Netanyahu claims that his forces will not retreat until all members of Hamas have been neutralized.

Just recently, President Biden allowed Israel to purchase additional weapons of mass destruction. A growing number of Democrats are demanding an end to this process, subtly calling Netanyahu’s action what it is, “genocide.”

The latest Democratic leader to add her name to the demand is former Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi.

“In light of the recent strike against aid workers and the ever-worsening humanitarian crisis, we believe it is unjustifiable to approve these weapons transfers,” read the letter signed on Friday by the lawmakers, including former House speaker and Biden ally Nancy Pelosi.

Finally, the facts prove that there will be no peace in the region until there is a “two state” solution, something Netanyahu is adamantly opposed to.
