Justice in Brazil, but No Justice in America

The Constitution of the United States is invalid, and
apparently indefensible. Just look at the similarities and differences between
what happened in America and Brazil.
For most of my life the Constitution of the United States
was my “bible.” Born in 1946, I was indoctrinated with patriotic ideals in church
and school. I remain loyal to the precepts of our Founding Fathers, although I
am aware that many mistakes were made during the Constitutional Convention
between 1787 and 1789. They failed to understand the weaknesses of men. Our
current government has bastardized the Law of the Land with the assistance of a
biased and corrupt Supreme Court.
A CORRUPT GOVERNMENT AND JUDICIAL SYSTEM MADE A FARCE OUT OF
THE JANUARY 6 INSURRECTION
If you watched the three-hour debacle, you heard your
illegitimate president order his Neo-Nazi followers to march to the Capitol and
halt the certification of the Electoral College vote. After telling them he
would join them, Trump marched back into the White House and watched the
violence on television, as were my wife and I, refusing to order an end to the
attempted coup.
An investigation into the effort to overturn democracy
revealed how Trump planned, organized, and executed the events of January 6,
2021. This is the definition of treason.
After he was removed from the White House, Trump stole boxes
of classified documents. Then he lied to the FBI, claiming he returned them. A
search of his millionaire’s playpen, Mar-a-Lago, revealed the fact that he is a
liar. This was clearly a violation of the Espionage Act.
Now for the part you will not believe. This old, obese,
lifetime criminal remains a free man, although he is clearly our nation’s
greatest criminal.
A MAJOR DIFFERENCE BETWEEN JANUARY 6 AND THE INSURRECTION IN
BRAZIL IN JANUARY 2023
On January 8, 2023, in Brazil, supporters of right-wing
extremist, Jair Bolsonaro, who had been removed from office and replaced by a
left-leaning successor, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, in October’s election,
stormed the Congressional Building, Supreme Court, and Presidential Palace. An
estimated 3,000 men were involved in the melee. When the melee ended, more than
300 were arrested.
Unlike what happened in America, a large number of law
enforcement defended their Capital of Brasilia’s government offices with the
use of tear gas and riot gear, including water cannons. Our military simply sat
on their fat asses and ignored the threat to our democratic process.
The new President, known simply as “Lula,” branded the
rioters “neo-fascists,” and promised to punish them to the “full extent of the
law.”
Bolsonaro is hiding in, you guessed it, Florida. Also like
Trump, he denied the results of the election, and is deemed responsible for the
insurrection. You won’t be surprised to know that Bolsonaro is known as “the
Trump of the Tropics.”
The only obvious difference between this right-wing attack
on Brazil’s government and our January 6 insurrection is that Bolsonaro was out
of the country when the attacks took place, unlike Trump, who was on television
ordering his army of fascists to do his dirty work for him.
However, it is clear that if Bolsonaro returns to Brazil, he
will be arrested, a huge difference between how justice works in America and in
South America.
JUST MORE PROOF THAT THE UNITED STATES IS A NATION WITHOUT
JUSTICE FOR ALL
Another travesty which must be attributed to Trump with
assistance from Moscow Mitch McConnell, is the corruption of the Supreme Court
of the United States. His three nominees were illegally and immorally confirmed
by Moscow Mitch and his radical senate, although the only qualification they
possessed was a promise to overturn Roe v Wade.
These five men and one woman who are biased towards the
right-wing extremists in our legislative branch, ignored the 14th
amendment and allowed Trump’s candidacy to continue.
The Constitution is now null and void. How “great” do you
think America is today?
