Latest Mass Shooting in Chester, Pennsylvania, Two of the Five Shot are Dead

I am so f**king tired of writing about domestic terrorism. I am even more disgusted and angry with our government. This threat to the American people can be stopped immediately, but too many of our elected officials are owned by the NRA gun lobby. Once again, profit comes before people.

Today, in Chester, Pennsylvania, a disgruntled employee walked into his former place of employment at 8:30 a.m. and shot five people: two of them are in the morgue. His weapon of choice: a semi-automatic handgun. The perp was arrested as he attempted to flee the scene of the massacre.

THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA IS THE MOST DANGEROUS COUNTRY IN THE WORLD

The above is not an exaggeration. With more mass shootings each year than days on the calendar, and the fact that anyone can purchase these deadly weapons of mass destruction any time in any city in America, makes it unsafe to leave our homes. No place is safe, including churches and schools.

The families of those shot today will receive “thoughts and prayers” from our government, but nothing will happen.

Chester District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer had this to say: "This is a tragedy, a story that plays out too often across the United States of America.”

NO ONE IS LISTENING ON CAPITOL HILL

Twelve years ago I was writing for a newspaper in Las Vegas Nevada. The first mass shooing I covered for the small publication was the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. When the shooter was finally killed, 20 small children and six educators were taken from their families forever. Our legislators in Washington looked away and pretended it was just another day in America.

Since that day I have written about other school shootings, mass shootings in churches, Synagogues, Mosques, movie theaters, shopping centers, bars, restaurants, concerts, and gyms. With each mass shooting the NRA and their owners, gun manufacturers and gun sellers, celebrate as the sale of guns experiences a surge in profits.

But those “thoughts and prayers” help a lot.!?

CORRUPTION AND GREED DOMINATE CONGRESS

The primary responsibility of all governments is the safety of their nation’s people. The government of the United States receives a grade of “F” for doing absolutely nothing.

Politicians are more interested in getting reelected than doing their jobs. In my humble opinion, 93,090,000 million dollars per year  from taxpayers is wasted on 435 members of the House, and 100 Senators.

Want proof? The average number of bills passed in Congress each year is between 200-600. In 2023 only 54 laws made it through both houses of Congress. This figure does not include benefits and bonuses for committee work etc. What the hell are we paying them for?

TERM LIMITS MUST BE IMPOSED ON ALL THREE BRANCHES OF OUR GOVERNEMTNT

Because there are no term limits for Congress, the only way we can fix the legislative branch is to vote incumbents from office. We desperately need women and men who will address the important issues of gun violence, healthcare, the outrageous cost of higher education, immigration reform, income inequality, women’s rights, and the protection of voting rights for all citizens. Anyone who has served in the House for four or more terms must be sent home. In the Senate, two terms are more than enough. If any individual cannot accomplish great things for all Americans in 12 years, it’s time for them to go. We don’t need patience, we need action.
