Nikki Haley Would Have Been a Female Version of Trump
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart
For most Americans, all they know about Nikki Haley is that
she is a woman and challenged Trump for the Republican Party’s presidential nomination,
and failed.
Haley was supported by the radical TEA Party in 2010 as she
was running for the Governor of South Carolina. She won, and was easily
reelected in 2014. Although I was skeptical, knowing that TEA Party candidates
have been woefully unqualified.
However, Haley was a good governor, placing the people of
South Carolina in priority number one. For this writer, she was impressive.
Then came Trump.
VERY DISAPPOINTED: WHERE HAVE THE REAL REPUBLICANS GONE?
Trump chose Haley to be our country’s ambassador to the
United Nations.
She immediately joined other Republicans as a hypocrite. She
constantly praised “Big Adolf,” bowing to his decision to violate the
Constitution daily.
Last year she moved her opinions another 180 degrees as she
challenged Trump for the Republican Party’s nomination. Her attacks on the
orange buffoon were harsh. At one point she claimed that he was “bad for the
Republican Party,” which means he is bad for our country.
Haley was asked this week if she would vote for Trump. You
know what she said. Another right-wing hypocrite, who denounced his credibility
in every way, said “yes.”
I think the term is “flip flopper.”
NOT A SINGLE QUALIFIED MAN OR WOMAN ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE
AISLE
Haley confirms my claim that not a single man or woman
calling themselves “Republican” is qualified to lead our country. This has been
a fact since 1981.
Although Reagan fooled me, along with millions of others, he
proved to be a liar and a failure. When he left office in 1989, unemployment
was high and our nation was deeply in debt. His economic policy was a huge
failure. It was Reagan who began the right-wing’s wars on minorities, the
working class, women, and all non-Christians.
His successors, George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush, and Trump
adopted the same economic policy which gave tax breaks to the rich, expecting
them to create jobs. Of course greedy corporations placed that extra money in
offshore accounts.
Today’s “Republicans” continue to prove themselves incapable
of governing our nation.
Like every right-wing politician since Reagan, Haley has
been a huge disappointment.
