No Trial Necessary; Trump is Guilty
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart
Here’s what happened and why Trump is guilty and a trial
would be a waste of time.
On January 21, 2021, as Trump was being evicted from the
White House, he stole an estimated 14 boxes of classified documents. When those
who work in the National Archives discovered they were missing, they learned
that Trump had moved them to his current residence at his millionaires and
billionaires only resort, called Mar-a-Lago.
Trump was immediately ordered to return everything he had
taken on inauguration day. A short time later the National Archives received
documents from Trump. However, after a careful inventory of the secret
documents, they realized a large number of what he had taken were not among
what was returned. He was asked by the FBI if he had returned everything as
ordered. He adamantly stated that he had.
After they re-inventoried the material, it was clear that
Trump lied.
On August 8, 2022, the FBI, armed with a search warrant, and
authorized to use “lethal force if necessary,” began a search of Mar-a-Lago.
Dozens of documents were found in various rooms inside the resort, including
Trump’s private quarters. The first undeniable fact is that Trump had lied to
the FBI, which makes him guilty of a federal crime and a felony conviction.
This is not the end of the story. When Trump’s own lawyers
were looking for material to use in an upcoming trial, they found additional
documents in Trump’s personal storage. Felony number two.
TRUMP COMMITTED HIS SECOND SERIOUS CRIME AGAINST HIS COUNTRY
I watched the failed coup attempt on January 6, 2021. After
three hours of violence and disrespect for our nation’s principles and
traditions, I realized that I had been witness to the darkest day in American
history. A sitting president had committed a clear act of treason.
I read information suggesting that Trump had been planning
something serious prior to January 6. There were meetings conducted at the
Willard Hotel between Trump’s closest aides, others who were unnamed, and
multiple phone conversations with leaders of several Neo-Nazi organizations and
others privy to Trump’s
Theft of national secrets is an undeniable violation of the
Espionage Act: also punishable by death.
TRUMP OWNS JUDGE AILEEN CANNON: WILL SHE VIOLATE HER OATH
AND GIVE TRUMP A FREE PASS
Trump appointed Judge Cannon to her position. The question
yet to be answered is “will she put Trump above the law?”
Although Trump is clearly guilty of the crimes for which he
is charged, However, Trump’s lawyers are asking Cannon to suppress the evidence
Trump attempted to hide. If she is complicit with Trump and his minions, they
will have taken a dump on the Constitution: the Rule of Law.
So far, Judge Cannon appears that she will rule against
Trump’s lawyers requests.
I have been writing about Trump for more than 11 years. Long
before he was charged with more than 90 counts of felony criminal action, I
knew he was guilty. I have read volumes about the life of the man who would
become the worst president in our nation’s history. He and his family thrived
on actions which were criminal and immoral. He should never have been allowed
to defile our White House.
WHY WOULD ANY REGULAR CITIZEN TRUST OUR JUDICIAL SYSTEM?
Over the last 100 years, not a single American with great
wealth and/or great power been fairly punished for their crimes. If Trump did
not have “friends in positions of great power,” he would be in a federal
detention facility awaiting trial for capital crimes against the United States
of America.
Trump must become the “exception to the unwritten rule.” He
is the worst of the worst and should spend the remainder of his days in a cell
smaller than his bathroom and without access to a “smart phone.”
