Today, December 7, 2024, I Fear America Will Once Again Fight Fascism on our Own Soil: Never Forget Pearl Harbor

When you grow up in post WWII America, you are covered in patriotism. When the United States entered the war on December 7, 1941, the fate of the entire planet was reversed.

I am not claiming that America was responsible for the defeat of fascism; that would be far from the truth. However the allies were united and the axis of evil would be defeated. The world was focused on one man and his perverse ambitions. His goals were twofold: eliminate all Jews, and world domination.

Born in 1946, an original baby boomer, I understood the necessity of fighting a war thousands of miles from our shores. In elementary school, I admit to shedding a few tears as we recited the Pledge of Allegiance at the beginning of every school day.

I attended a parochial school. Of course we were taught about Jesus Christ, and had enormous respect for the nuns who taught us and our priests. We were also taught about our nation’s ideals and principles, and why it was mandatory that fascism was defeated.

Over my 78 years, I witnessed every change in America. Some of our leaders in Washington worked for our country’s future and hoped to improve the quality of life for all Americans. Others recognized their ability to use their positions to achieve great power and wealth.

I love television, but as I aged. I understood why it was called the “boob tube.” Most Americans began to believe everything they saw on the screen. As I became an older man, I cringed when the internet was corrupted with a thing called “social media.” 99 percent of everything on these networks is founded on lies and misdirection.

As computers began to arrive in most American homes, we entered the information age. However, if the information we receive is false or edited in such a way to show bias, it is of no value. This proves that what is new does not always produce positive change.

This was never clearer than on November 5, 2024. If the election was not rigged, and voters actually chose the worst and least qualified man to lead our nation for four more years, it is an undeniable fact that America’s voting public is mostly uninformed. I have refused to watch “television news” since the morning of November 9, 2016. I seriously believe that my I Q has risen 10 points.

Trump denies his knowledge of Project 2025. However, every plan, idea, and proposal contained in the 922-page document originated during one of his many hate rallies, beginning in 2015.

Project 2025 is a guide for replacing democracy with a fascist regime. Many of its ideas come directly from the practices of Adolf Hitler, and contained in his manifesto, Mein Kampf.

Real Americans will soon be forced to engage in a second Revolutionary War. If America is to survive in the form created by our Founding Fathers, we must fight against a fascist leader and his army of racists and bigots.

Fascism takes control of a country when the super-rich become a plutocracy, and when extreme patriotism and xenophobia are present. In America it was hurried by a very old, obese, white Neo-Nazi, who is proud of hugging the flag, selling bibles, and preaches anger, hatred, and violence constantly.

Finally, we must not forget that all corporations are evil. One of the efforts to aid in a second Trump victory came from our nation’s 801 billionaires. There was never an “inflation” by definition. However, there was a “Greedflation.” The billionaires who own our largest corporations raised prices to increase their already outrageous profits and to discredit the economic successes of the Biden administration.

The irony will come soon after January 20. Trump’s supporters, he calls “basement dwellers,” will suffer the most from Trump’s failed policies, past, present, and in the future.
