I am a Member of the Forgotten Generation

Trump is three weeks older than yours truly. He has been using “other people’s money,” including taxpayer’s, for decades to live the lifestyle of a real billionaire. He is totally unaware of what life is like for a 78-year-old man and his 74-year-old wife in 21st century America, and he doesn’t care.

I can tell you: it is very, very difficult.

Add together multiple factors and you will begin to understand the challenges faced by most of America’s older citizens.

Everyone over the age of 70 has physical impairments: major or minor. Whether we face chronic ailments from the result of aging, or physical challenges, every older American faces impediments to their daily life. Sadly, a large percentage are fighting mental disabilities which make life nearly unbearable for themselves and their loved ones.

What none of us should struggle with is the ability to purchase the necessities required to live a healthy, comfortable, and safe lifestyle.

My bride and I have a single source of income: Social Security. The two percent increase we received in January is an insult. The cost of necessities: food, healthcare, heating, air conditioning, and sewer and clean water services have increased by as much as 60 percent.

Greedflation has caused greater problems for senior citizens than any other demographic. I knew Trump was lying when he promised the American people that he would end inflation on day one. He would never act in any manner which would reduce his oligarch’s profits. America is clearly a plutocratic society in the 21st century.

Professional politicians belong to the most useless and harmful profession in the world. Recently, the former Republican Senator from Wyoming, Alan Simpson passed away. When interviewed about hos profession many years ago, he said: “You know the word ‘politician’ comes from two Greek words, “poli” and “tic.” “Poli” meaning many, and “tic” meaning a “blood sucking insects.”

Trump and Musk have been living off of the United States treasury for many years. Trump has never worked a day in his nearly 79 years. Musk is losing billions of dollars every week because he is failing to pay attention to his private businesses. Neither of them belong in Washington.

I have no choice but to continue offering my readers the truth. No one else will.

It becomes more difficult every day. I look very hard, but I cannot find one positive issue to write about. I fear for my country.
