“For Reasons of National Security”
When any politician offers this excuse whenever they don’t want to answer a direct question: I can’t answer that “for reasons of national security,” you know they’re hiding something, and that something is not good.
All politicians are professional liars. It begins with their campaigns. They make promises they never intend to keep. They will say anything to get your vote, but when elected forget you exist.
Let’s get to the truth. In a Democratic Republic, the people elect men and women to represent their needs and wishes. However, in the 21st century we elect rule over us, refusing to serve us. The truth is simple and opposes the intents of our Founding Fathers: politicians consider themselves better and more worthy of living the “American lifestyle” than their constituents. Fascism is alive and well in D.C.
It is no longer a secret: America’s federal government is the most corrupt and incompetent in the world. Look at history.
Ronald Reagan lied to everyone. After he was inaugurated, he exposed himself as a dictatorial leader, and began waging wars against the working class, minorities, women, and all non-Christians.
Reagan and George H.W. Bush lied to the American people about the Iran-Contra scandal.
George W. Bush lied to the American people, congress, and the United Nations, falsely claiming that Iraq was harboring weapons of mass destruction for Al Qaeda. He attempted to hide the cost of two unwinnable wars by omitting them from the annual budget.
Donald Trump made thousands of promises to his supporters. Over the period between 2017 and 2021, there is no record of a single, positive accomplishment. His “claim to fame” was giving permanent tax cuts to the super rich, exactly like his three Republican predecessors. He violated the Constitution daily, Trump ignored the Emoluments Clause. He continued to operate his businesses, including those with foreign nations. While the majority of Americans struggled during the pandemic, his business interests experienced a profit of more than 2.4 billion dollars.
I don’t need to mention the fact that he committed treason on January 6, 2021, and violated the Espionage Act on January 20, 2021, an act punishable by death.
Trump 2.0 has already been 100 times worse.
What can we expect in the following weeks? Nothing good.
