10 Years Every Real American Would Like to Forget
(I didn’t plan for this to be so long.)
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart
Although the event’s beginning was two years earlier in
Moscow, on June 16, 2015 an old, obese, failed and crooked businessman took the
long ride down several escalators inside Trump Tower on 5th Avenue
in New York. He could have taken the elevator. However, he was and is afflicted
with a mental disease called “malignant narcissism.” His greatest need,
soothing an inflated ego, required him to make what he believed was a ‘grand
entrance.’
The man with orange skin was about to announce his intention
to win the Republican Party’s presidential nomination in 2016.
Personally, I found the staged event comical. I knew a
little about Donald John Trump, and his entire life was a caricature of a man
in search of power and great wealth. He had never accomplished anything for
another human being in his pitiful life. He celebrated his 69th
birthday on June 15, and the biggest joke should have been the fact that a 70-year-old
man without any experience in government at any level should be taken
seriously.
The rest is history. The ugliest show on earth had begun.
The Republican Primaries began. There were several debates
scheduled over the next few months. The first was conducted by the right-wing’s
propaganda machine, Fox News, held on August 3, 2015.
There were 10 candidates on the stage, and several others
who were not invited, watching the spectacle on television.
It became clear immediately that none of the 10 men, not a
single woman, was qualified to lead our nation. It was also clear that this was
not a debate. The entire event became an exercise in how to “trash talk.” Trump
was much better at making remarks intended to demean his opponents. The others
stumbled through the evening. Only Trump had experience as an actor on a boring
and unbelievable ‘reality show.’
And so it went until the Republican National Convention
between July 18 and July 21 in Cleveland, Ohio.
Trump crushed every other member in the ‘clown car,’ mostly
because the candidates were woefully unqualified to engage in a contest of
words where Trump attacked, while the others parried without success.
Most Republican politicians denounced Trump and his plans
for America’s future. However, he was nominated on July 21, and became the
least qualified presidential candidate in history.
A week later, the Democratic National Convention was held in
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania between July 25-July 28.
Democrats nominated the first woman in history. Hillary
Clinton was the exact opposite of Trump in every single way. She was female,
spoke about the issues, and was without a doubt the most qualified presidential
candidate in American history. The initial polls showed Ms. Clinton with a
substantial lead over her woefully unqualified opponent.
However, the mainstream media offered Trump at least
five-times more coverage than Hillary. The Democratic Party failed to unite in
support of Ms. Clinton. Some were angry that Bernie Sanders had not been
nominated and vowed to withhold their votes from Ms. Clinton. Other Democrats
and Independents expressed their displeasure that a woman had been nominated by
the Democratic Party.
As the election grew near, there were allegations on the
internet that Vladimir Putin was attempting to secure a victory for Donald
Trump. Although the American people were not informed about the situation until
months had passed, in early October there was a meeting held in the White House
at the request of all the leaders of America’s security agencies. In attendance
were the President, Vice-President and leaders of both political parties. It
was confirmed that Putin was indeed engaged in a massive effort in support of
Trump. Your government committed a lie, an act of omission, and refused to
inform voters of the situation.
On November 8, 2016, Trump was given a victory in the
Electoral College when the controversial vote totals from Michigan,
Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin gave Trump a very small victory, placing his total
over the 270-mark needed to win. The election was illegitimate, rigged in favor
of Trump by his puppeteer, Vladimir Putin.
After a pitifully small inauguration, Trump committed his
first Constitutional violation. He declared a ban on all Muslims entering the
United States, with the exception of Saudi Arabia. He was indebted to the Saudi
Royal Family for saving him from another bankruptcy in the late 1990’s.
It only got worse. He ordered his personal gestapo, ICE, to
imprison anyone suspected of being in our country illegally and was not pure
white. He ordered the separation of families, and some of the children taken
from their parents are still missing.
His first impeachment came after it was revealed that during
a conversation with the President of Ukraine, Trump promised him 400 military
assistance in exchange for “dirt” on Joe and Hunter Biden. The impeachment
occurred on December 18, 2019, but was not delivered to the Senate until
January 15, 2020.
Moscow Mitch McConnell announced that there would be no
witnesses or additional information presented, and Trump would be acquitted.
The mock trial ended as predicted by Moscow Mitch on February 5.
Throughout his four years he committed multiple
Constitutional violations which were virtually ignored by both parties.
In December of 2019, an aide assigned to read the Presidents
Daily Brief informed his illegitimate president that a healthcare emergency was
beginning in the Wuhan Province of China. Trump ignored the information. In
January of 2020, the news outlets began to ask questions about the approaching
coronavirus. He claimed that "it will just go away." In March, the
first Americans began to die from the effects of Covid-19. He did nothing other
than suggest drinking bleach or shining a bright light up your rectum.
Meanwhile, three pharmaceutical companies had begun to develop
vaccines to end the pandemic. However, Trump continued to ignore the problem
although thousands of small businesses were forced to close their doors, and
tens-of-thousands of Americans lost their jobs. Healthcare experts claim that
Trump’s failure to take timely action to defeat Covid-19 is directly responsible
for at least 10 percent of the more than one-million lives caused by the deadly
virus.
As the election neared, our nation’s economy became extremely
weak and economists feared a second Great Depression.
By the time the November 3rd election approached,
the American people had tired of Trump’s lies and failures. Although it was
reported that Putin was once again interfering in our election, an historical
voter turnout gave a definitive victory to Joe Biden.
The malignant narcissist refused to accept defeat, although aides
reported that he was completely aware that he lost. Trump’s own Election Czar
told the press that the 2020 election was “the most secure and fair election in
American history.”
Trump ordered his lawyers to file lawsuits in multiple states,
claiming the election was fraudulent. More than 60 courts, including Trump’s
own ‘stacked’ Supreme Court, denied every complaint for the same reason: ‘no evidence.’
Trump moved to ‘plan B.’ Trump and a few of his advisors turned
a room at the Willard Hotel into an office with the sole purpose of organizing
and planning an assault on the Capitol Building.
On January 6, 2021, he stood on a makeshift podium and
ordered his Nazi army to walk to the Capitol and halt the certification of the
Electoral College vote. My wife and I had the misfortune of watching the three-hour
violent insurrection.
Trump was impeached for a second time. The charge was
obstruction of justice. Once again Moscow Mitch refused to hold a fair trial,
proving that his Fuhrer was indeed above the law.
His crime spree didn’t end there. On January 20, 2021, the
day he was finally evicted from the White House, Trump stole at least 14 boxes
of national secrets; a violation of the Espionage Act. Once again, nothing
happened, proving the orange buffoon was above the law.
He continued to tell his biggest lie, and most of his
supporters accepted his effort to brainwash them, believing another of his
infamous “alternative facts.”
Trump spent most days stumbling around a golf course,
partying at Mar-a-Lago, and beginning his 2024 campaign by holding hate rallies
in Trump-friendly states.
In between his ‘play time,’ he attempted to assist his loyal
politicians in their efforts to win elections. Most of his efforts failed.
Between 2021 and 2024, several states attempted to remove
Trump’s name from their ballots, citing violations of the 14th
Amendment.
His stacked Supreme Court stepped in and rewrote the 14th
Amendment, claiming Trump had not abused his powers and therefore was not
guilty of ‘insurrection,’ or any part of section three of the Amendment. Anyone
who reads the words of section three knows that Trump was ineligible to run for
the presidency or any other office.
I move forward, past his felony conviction in a New York
court, and another loss to E. Jean Carroll for crimes including sexual assault
and defamation of character, to the campaign between Trump and President Biden.
A debate was held between President Biden and his illegal
challenger on June 27, 2024. The President appeared exhausted from a lengthy
trip which involved meetings with several of our nation’s allies. His
performance was dismal.
Biden received pressure from various groups of Democrats to
resign from the campaign. Originally, he declined. Finally, on July 21, he ended
his bid for reelection, and endorsed Kamala Harris.
Although Ms. Harris was at a disadvantage, Trump had been campaigning
for four years, and she less than four months, she drew larger crowds than her
opponent in the all-important swing states.
I admit to being shocked on November 5, 2024 when the
results were official, Trump had reversed the results of the 2020 election by
winning not only the Electoral College, but also the popular vote and all seven
swing states. Something was very wrong. He was the same old, obese, white man
who was hated by more than one-half of all Americans.
Early in 2024, the FBI informed the American people that
Russian agents were once again attempting to alter the results of our election.
In the week following the election, the first of several reputable tech
companies claimed that Russian hackers had gained access to the voting machines
in all seven swing states. Like 2016, it appeared that Vladimir Putin had
rigged the election once again.
As Trump began to select men and a few women who would compose
his administration, it was clear that his choices were not based on experience
or qualifications. Loyalty was his only demand.
Beginning on January 21, 2025, it was obvious that Trump
would refuse to keep any of his campaign promises. A growing “Greedflation,”
and the continuation of the invasion of Ukraine continued. Instead, he began firing
government employees who actually worked in Washington, considerably weakening
critical government agencies designed to serve the needs of all Americans. This,
combined with his “big, beautiful spending bill” had a single purpose: to give
additional tax breaks to his 813 oligarchs. He would also add a minimum of 10
trillion dollars to the national debt.
Trump continues to build concentration camps across America
as he focuses on “ethnic cleansing.” Not a day goes by when he does not violate
the Constitution.
Trump is closely following the 922-page Republican Fascist
Manifesto, inspired by his long speeches at hate rallies.
A corrupt Supreme Court has crowned Trump “America’s first
Fuhrer.”
Between 2017 and 2021, Trump spent an average of over six
million dollars of taxpayer dollars each month for his personal use. In 2025,
he is wasting more than 10 million dollars each month.
I only listed the “lowlights,” or this article would have
been 50 pages in length.
America cannot survive four years of another Trump
illegitimate presidency.
