Trump Once Again Fails Our Nation’s Economy
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart
When Trump was evicted from the White House on January 20,
2021, the economy of the United States was nearing a second Great Depression.
You never heard this on the evening television news broadcasts. They would
never make their leader look bad.
His failure to lead our nation in the fight against
Covid-19, combined with a fiscal policy of “trickle-down economics,” a policy
which failed three previous Republican presidents, unemployment was rising,
small businesses were nearing bankruptcy, and increasing uncertainty resulted
in a nosedive on Wall Street.
In 2025, Trump is dumb enough to continue the worst fiscal
policy in American history, “trickle-down economics,” and has added an even
more destructive policy, huge tariffs. The lengthy fight to create a free economy
with our allies was flushed down the toilet.
Tariffs never work, but Trump doesn’t care. Afflicted with
malignant narcissism and a corrupt Supreme Court, he is mad with power. A
lifelong schoolyard bully, his only tactic in the 21st century is
destined to fail. Levying tariffs on our closest allies will result in retaliation.
and the free world will be engaged in a trade war. This war will not have a
winner: everyone will lose, most importantly, consumers. It is always the
people who suffer from wars created by incompetent and uncaring governments.
Trump promised to end inflation on day one. My grocery bill
confirms the fact that he was lying. I am not surprised: Trump will never keep
a single campaign promise because he doesn’t care. He is unfit for the office
he currently holds.
The truth is that our nation’s economy continues to suffer
when a Republican resides in the White House. Facts: Clinton rescued Reagan and
Bush 41. Obama rescued Bush 43. Biden rescued Trump. Today, another failure is
running our country, destroying its future and ending democracy. Wake up and
learn the truth about what is happening in Washington. It’s only your future
and the future of those you love hanging in the balance.
