Trump Becomes the Most Expensive President in U.S. History

Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart

Trump knows absolutely nothing about economic security. This is not news. In the private sector he declared bankruptcy four times, including an Atlantic City casino, which is nearly impossible. He failed at every business venture in his 79 years and was “bailed out” by Russia and the Saudi Royal Family.

What Trump believes and practices is “spending other people’s money.”

Between 2017 and 2021 Trump averaged more than six million dollars each month pretending to be a real billionaire. All of his golf excursions, trips to and from Mar-a-lago, and holding his hate rallies were at taxpayer expense. So far, after pretending to be your president for seven months and 22 days, he is wasting more than 10 million dollars each month.

Now for the important facts. Trump has big plans, plans which would benefit him and add billions if not trillions of dollars to the national debt.

Recently he used 10 million dollars or your money to play golf in Scotland. He lied, claiming that the trip was ‘government business,’ but there is no record of a single positive engagement with a leader of a foreign nation. It was unnecessary, but he had two huge flagpoles installed on the White House lawn. His latest and most ridiculous and wasteful idea is the construction of a ballroom in the White House. It would cost between 200 and 400 million dollars.

And don’t forget his bribe from Qatar. In May the Trump administration officially accepted a 747-8. The plane costs an estimated 400 million dollars. The plan is to remodel the jumbo jet  and use it as Air Force One until he is once again evicted from the White House. The first estimate of the cost to retool the plane into Air Force One is at least one billion dollars.

Are you ready for Trump’s biggest economic boondoggle?

During his first four years, Trump added eight trillion dollars to the national debt. One year ago, the national debt was 34.4 trillion dollars. Today it has reached 36.99 trillion dollars. What will it be on January 20, 2029 when Trump is no longer a burden to his country?

Meanwhile, “Greedflation” is on the rise, and over the next few weeks it will increase exponentially as Trump’s ill-advised tariffs take effect. Did I warn you that Trump would be a disaster?
