Once Again, Trump is Proven to be a Liar and a Hypocrite

Over the last couple of weeks, Trump has ordered his oligarchs to fire two men who have been constant critics of his failure to lead our nation. Paramount, the parent company of CBS, fired Stephen Colbert. Disney Corp, the parent company of ABC, attempted to hide their ownership of several companies, including Nexstar, fired Jimmy Kimmel. The only crime committed by either late night host was speaking truth to power about your corrupt and incompetent president. They were exercising their First Amendment rights without malice, or slander. Their weapon was humor, and Trump is incapable of self-deprecation, or any other form of laughing at his expense.

Let’s go back to January 20, 2025.

[Partway through his second presidential inaugural address, Donald Trump boasted, “After years and years of illegal and unconstitutional federal efforts to restrict free expression, I also will sign an executive order to immediately stop all government censorship and bring back free speech to America.”

[Soon after, the Republican followed through, signing an order that emphasized the right of the American people to speak freely “without government interference.” The same document accused the Biden administration of using federal powers to advance “the government’s preferred narrative about significant matters of public debate.”]

Another of his many, many lies and another promise broken. Trump and his cronies have reached a level of hypocrisy not seen since Rush Limbaugh.

I have lost my patience with Trump’s supporters. Over the last ten years, he made dozens of promises, kept none, was convicted of 34  counts of fraud, committed treason, violated the Espionage Act, rigged a second election, and broke more promises on day one, and yet they worship him like he was the second coming of Christ. Are these people brain-dead or simply Nazis who have found their leader? Trump is undoubtedly the Antichrist. He is opposed to not only every Amendment in the Constitution, with the exception of the Second, and clearly rejects the teachings of Jesus Christ in the New Testament.

I know, and you know that if Trump’s lips are moving, he’s lying. Why wouldn’t his supporters accept the facts and join with all real Americans and kick his humongous ass out of the White House?

This Supreme Court Did Something Right

I have good reason and a huge responsibility to criticize it for its corruption and political bias. However, when it does the right thing, I also have a responsibility to praise them for their actions. Thanks to a poorly written Second Amendment, which is ambiguous and lacks definition, the NRA gun lobby, paid for by gun manufacturers and gun sellers, has used this one amendment to the Bill of Rights for their own benefit. Gun violence began to escalate in America in 1976, the same year the NRA ceased its purpose as a gun safety organization, and aligned itself with the corporate world.
