Contrary to What the Mainstream Media Reports, Israelis and Palestinians Are not Enemies

The truth is undeniable: “Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men, even when they exercise influence and not authority; still more when you superadd the tendency of the certainty of corruption by authority.” Lord Acton

With longevity comes many lessons based on experience and observation. I have learned that all men are weak and evil is all too often a stronger force than the desire to do good.

I am not opposed to any religion, but I do reject the way some religious leaders twist the words and ideals contained in the New Testament of the Bible, in the Quran, and the Torah.

When I was much younger, I was a Catholic. I read the Bible. The old testament is composed of mostly “fairy tales:” stories passed by mouth from man to man. However, the New Testament is a retelling of the teachings of Jesus Christ.

I have also read parts of the Quran and a few translated passages from the Torah. Nowhere in any of these holy writings is there anything about anger, hatred, or revenge. What is contained in all three are instructions related to how we treat each other, with compassion, understanding, tolerance, forgiveness, and love.

Men and women who lead countries and men and women who control cults are similar. They lie, cheat, steal, and create conspiracy theories to brainwash human beings who are uninformed and desperate to find a leader they can believe in.

I’m old enough and wise enough to know that no one with great power and unnecessary wealth can be trusted unless they are fully examined in both their private and public lives.

Donald Trump is the perfect example of my allegation. If he had not joined with Putin in 2013, and agreed to run for the presidency in 2016, no one would know the extent of his crimes, lies, and debauchery. That one decision allowed the world to know that he is the most evil and incompetent old man in the world.

This leads me to a fact not reported by the mainstream media. The people of Israel and their Palestinian neighbors are not at war with each other. It is a fact that some Palestinians support Hamas and their extremist views of the Jewish State. However, the majority have no desire to end the State of Israel.

Benjamin Netanyahu is a racist and a bigot, harboring hatred for all Palestinians. He and Trump are complicit in the creation of non-existent enemies to the people of their nations.

All human beings share the most simple and definitive desires: safety and security for the future of their families.

Governments are all bad: some worse than others, and their difference is reflected by their leaders.

Great leaders lead by example, placing their people as priority number one. Netanyahu and Trump share the need to make their personal gain as priority number one. Neither of them care about the people they are intended to serve and offer their citizens as sacrificial lambs for their failures.

The men and women who lead the governments of all nations are mostly men and women whose ambitions are focused on their personal ambitions. This is what is happening in Isreal and the United States today.

Seek the truth. It is often painful, but being informed can change the future of the world.
